The doctors are going to break both bones in my leg in half o.e
I have to have an external fixator put in my leg for 12 months.
For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a big device with metal rods on it. The Metal Rods go into your leg and in your bones, to do whatever is needed to be done.
In my case, my leg has to be lengthened, so I have to turn a bolt every day that widens the gap between my bones. |

My grandfather just got one of those after a doctor found out that a cancer in his leg has gone completely unnoticed (he thought it was just gout) for a while and nearly ate his entire thigh bone away.
About a week after the removal surgery, he was mowing the lawn.
...my grandfather's a freaking trooper. |
