It could prove useful to be able to turn package parts into regular meshes with the ability to be re-scaled. How, you ask? Follow these steps:
1) Get the desired package from Free Models (remember to pause and check for viruses!) 2) Insert a brick, and insert a SpecialMesh in that 3) Find the individual package part and copy the value of its "MeshId" 4) In the MeshId of the SpecialMesh you inserted, type "http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id=" and paste the value you copied 5) The package part should show up in the brick. You will now be able to rescale it and whatnot. If you want to keep the texture of the package part, follow these extra steps: 1) Look back in the individual package part. Look at both the "BaseTextureId" and "OverlayTextureId". If the part has a texture, one of them should be a bunch of jumbled numbers and one should be 0. Copy the one that's NOT zero. 2) In the "TextureId" property of the mesh, type "http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id=" and paste the copied number at the end.
Thanks for reading, and hope this helped. If you come across a package part with both the "BaseTextureId" AND the "OverlayTextureId" properties filled, please let me know. |
