| Due to the killing of innocent civilians, former Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak will be put to death. What's your opinion? |

Has his sentence been confirmed yet?
All I know is that he could be facing the death penalty. |

| Stupid. He's no longer in a position of authority, so why bother? Revolutions shouldn't be built on the foundations of blood lust. |

| He's no longer in power. Is that not justice? Why must all justice allude to vengeance? |

| So you think he doesn't deserve any punishment? Or do you think that the punishment for him is to remove him from the power? |

He's already been punished by being removed from office. ___ So you think that people who were in power shouldn't be punished like normal people? |

I don't think anyone should be punished. Catharsis isn't a valid reason to steal a man's life. |

Ironically - to your point of view at least - legal systems that focus on punishment are less successful than legal systems that focus on rehabilitation.
Organized systems of vengeance have been failures since their original institution. The liberalization of these systems is not only preferable, but necessary. |

I can imagine you with your kid:
"Hey Carl, we know that you broke the TV after you broke the computer yesterday, but you should rehabilitate. Take this candy, go to sleep for a bit, and you will wake up as new, perfect person!"
*next day*
"DAADAAA!"
"What Carl?...Oh..you broke the window...Well Carl, I should make you food and make you go to sleep" |

| I wouldn't have a kid, and if I did, I certainly wouldn't name it Carl, or give it its own computer. I also wouldn't own a television. |

If the first act of a new state is to murder the old state like this, then I can`t have much faith in Egypt. They`ve built themselves up to fail.
>Egypt 15 years down the line Lynchings, Lynchings every where. Way to go guys.

| I wouldn't execute him as punishment, just doom him to a life on the streets, where he would starve, and if people wanted to, be killed. |

If you kill someone for justice your just as horrible or worse.Killing someone just ends they're life so it's the easy way out.
And killing for justice is revenge.
And egypt will return to a dictatorship in the future one day. |

Hey people do you have eyes? If the Judges agree to give him death penalty, then he will get it.
Thats in Texas too.
I never said that he should be executed.
And for isher the conspiracist, go google hosni mubarak crimes and educate yourself instead of posting nonsense |

That's not really punishment, and it contradicts my later statement. Whoops. |
