DISCLAIMER: This is a sci-fi thread. Any references to outside sources are most likely intentional and I doubt that you care anyway. Anyhow, everything here is fictional and we honestly have no idea what the future will be like. Might as well finish this now, since you're the only one reading it. Also, this is completely out of place since this thread is not intended to be comical.
[YEAR 5087] (All sci-fi fans are welcome, especially those from Star Empires.) (This thread has no real story to it, much like Star Empires. Your goals? They are all your decision. All stories will be made BY the RPers.)
With the Intergalactic Alliance in shambles, the true citizens of the Doiva Galaxy have broken free and made their own alliances themselves. Whether your goal is to mine, conquer, or unite the galaxy once again, you know that you will need your faction to rise. Before you know it, the galaxy will once again be overthrown by the higher beings. The question is... will you be one of them?
This thread starts just at the moment where minor factions are created. Don't expect to be at the top of your game just yet. You start without owning any planets or having anyone else on your side. It's always best to get your priorities straight for your faction before you make their decisions. Every one of them will have an impact on both you and other RPers.

Mostly a long range weapon, that has specially grooved bullets that are capable of crippling a foe in the hands of a trained marksman. Weapon Add-ons: (1.) (As in silencer, scope, etc.) Just a plain old scope. Weapon Ammo type: (Only for guns.) Specially made bullets, dipped in a native poison and grooved. Weapon Type: (Stealth, Combat, Strategy.) Depends on the users intentions.

Faction Name: R.A.C (Rins Advancement Company) Faction Rules: It's basically a lrage army and run like one. All tactics are acceptable. Faction Symbol/Crest: A bundle of Plains Weed on fire. Faction Uniform: Mostly rag-tag pieces of armor, with the symbol somewhere in plain view. Faction History/Bio/Timeline: A group that is dedicated to the ruling of Fasthis and it Kiarns. Recently they began accepting defector Kiarns to there ranks. They're fairly young. Faction Main Weapons: (3.) Common guns and arms, but they also use Shrez's, and other imported weapons.

They're fingers are quite long and dexterous. They skin is quite smooth. Race Lifespan: (Don't be ridiculous.) About fifty. Race Preferred Weapons: Shrez Race History/Bio: They're intelligent and good builders. They've lived on Fasthis for as long as anyone can remember. Race Traits: (3, at most.) Good at engineering, they have good eyesight, they're also very dexterous. Race Weaknesses: (At least 2.) They're physically weak, and the terrain makes it hard to get around.
(Rins) Race General Appearance: Tall and lean. Hard skinned, and naturally tan. They're limbs are slightly longer then most races, giving them the edge in melee combat. They all generally dress in armor. They all wear their hair long and shaggy, even the males. Race Lifespan: (Don't be ridiculous.) Forty, if a warrior. Sixty if not. Race Preferred Weapons: Anything and everything. They're a warrior race. Race History/Bio: Imperialist and violent, nobody remembers they're home planet. They capture planets and sell them off to other races. Each Rins child is taught how to pilot and fight at an early age. Race Traits: (3, at most.) Large and strong, natural warriors, they also make excellent pilots. Race Weaknesses: (At least 2.) They have no aptitude for literary pursuits and very few can read. They are also quite impolite and have very few allies.

In a genetic mutation, his limbs are a bit shorter then the Rins average. His skin is a slight tan. Armor/Protective Wear: (Optional.) He's always changing armor, using whatever he can. Clothing: His only chronic piece of clothing is two small necklaces denoting his ranks within the ground forces, and ariel combat forces. Faction: (Make one or join one.) R.A.C Skills: (2, at most.) He's a soldier and pilot, like most Rins. Weaknesses: (At least 3.) He's illiterate, only having a slight knowledge of writing, he's a sullen and cross and rude, weak in the personality department. He's a lower rank in the army, meaning he's treated as cannon fodder. Faction Rank: Grunt Race: Rins Biography/Timeline: A standard Rins teen, put into war at a young age. He earned his name "Cleanshot" by being good with a gun. His personal history is largely regular. |

Weapon Abilities: Its alternate fire releases a terraforming ray that causes any item that it hits to cave in on itself, and a very slow but long fire that breaks through the average armor as the primary function. (This item is a much smaller version of a terraforming ray.) Weapon Add-ons: N/A. Weapon Ammo type: Morphed terraforming ray cartridges. Volatile. Weapon Type: Strategy. Not recommended to fight with due to its incredibly slow reloading time and use of dangerous melted substances.

Faction Name: Miner Empire. Faction Rules: 1. Respect the higher symbols of authority. 2. Never use your Terraformer HD in close-quarters-combat, especially with alternate fire. 3. No complaining to the chief. What he says, goes. 4. If asked to duel in hand-to-hand combat, you must be inclined to accept. Hand-to-hand combat is how symbols of authority are decided among this faction. 5. Keep quiet and mine for materials. We don't want to hear about your 'great' new plasma assault rifle. 6. If you are ever asked to engage in combat, you are expected to engage in combat. Read rule number two. 7. We may be miners, but in these tough times everybody tries to go for the top of the galactic economy charts. We will most likely make enemies with those who pass us on the charts. Faction Symbol/Crest: A flagpole with a Terraformer HD leaning on it. Faction Uniform: A dark blue robe with symbol on the front and back. Also includes a robe with an overhead visor. Stability boots and underarmor are provided. It may seem odd, but it is necessary. Faction History/Bio/Timeline: Unknown. The chief and all others in the executive order don't reveal a thing. They are mostly all innocent miners, but they are willing to get their hands dirty to collect rare ores. Many of them are Skatten. Faction Main Weapons: Terraformer HD, rock-melting pickaxe (use with caution), and a back-up laser pistol.

Skatten ---------------------------- Race General Appearance: They are humanoids with gills on both cheeks. Oddly, it is impossible for any of them to grow hair. They somehow manage to survive on land, as well. (Not much description here because they look almost exactly like humans.) Race Lifespan: They often live to three hundred years. Race Preferred Weapons: They often use what they find, being the optimists that they are. Race History/Bio: They started in the y/ear of 4978, when a humanoid scientist was planning to give his own kind the ability to breathe underwater. He started with a female subject, which didn't change much over the first year of testing except for loss of hair and proper lungs. New, artificial lungs were implanted as well as gills. One year later, the Skatten was born as a race that somehow manages to survive both in water and land. They are generally optimistic and trying to find happiness when they are often shunned from the humanoid public for not being true humanoids. Race Traits: The ability to stay underwater for years, their intact humanoid strength. Race Weaknesses: They often move very slow on land, due to the fact that many of them reside underwater for their lives. They may have average intelligence, but they are socially awkward and silent in most situations. They are natural fighters, but not workers. It often takes a while for them to catch on to simple tasks.
◄--SHIP/FLEET SHEET--► Terraform Hound ----------------------------------- Ship/Fleet Defenses: Plasma turrets mounted at every side, amateur shields. Ship/Fleet Crew: 21,512. A relatively big company. Ship/Fleet Appearance: A darkly-coated ship that branches into multiple sections via bridges. Not the prettiest thing to look at, however. Number of ships: 92.

Name: Jasaf Spector. A/ge: 132. Weapon(s): Pistol version of the miner Terraformer HD. Appearance: His skin is full of wrinkles due to his time spent underwater (103 years of his life to be exact). His gills are covered by his hood and visor. He, of course, is bald, like other Skatten. His height is of the average Skatten, 6"1. His weight is just a bit below average, though he optimizes with it. His eyes are a deep-sea blue and his skin is very light due to the fact that his race does not get very much sunlight. His nose is bridged, and his lips are slashed through the middle. Armor/Protective Wear: A plasma shield under his robes. Has to be manually activated. Clothing: The standard Miner Empire clothing. Faction: Miner Empire. Skills: His strength is above average, as well as his intellect. Weaknesses: Like other Skatten, he is very slow on land, socially awkward, and is still more of a fighter than a worker. Faction Rank: Under Chief II (Can issue simple commands to other miners.) Race: Skatten. Biography/Timeline: Jasaf is an ordinary Skatten of his kind. He was born in a family of five, to a family of underwater Skatten. This was at the time of a war between the underwater and land Skatten. This civil war left them with no choice but to take refuge in the abyss of society, where the criminal Skatten lived. Jasaf had lived a terrible life, constantly fending for himself against the thieves and thugs in the area. The war had waged on longer than expected, and they had been in the abyss for fifteen years by then. When it ended, Jasaf took an ordinary life, studying in the Great Dome (a dome-like building built ENTIRELY underwater by underwater Skatten. It is very large and most Skatten lived there. It was full of shops and many other important areas), where he learned many life skills. He lived in the Great Dome for years until it was finally time for the Skatten authorities to decide his job (they are not allowed to pick their own jobs), and was then sent to work with miners for the rest of his life. |

(Meh, I'll post something about a random soldier.)
The din of battle rang all around me. It's a chaotic sound full of raw power, emotion, and danger. Oh, how I love that sound. My pulse quickened as I approached a Kiarns defensive position, rifle held in one hand, a large working blade in my other. Their shots whiz around me, missing me in the pure panic of their hurried shots. A few do hit me, but in non-vital reigons. I can keep going. When I finally reach the Kiarns' defense it all seems to happen in slow motion. Me, swinging my rifle as a weapon, as it works with my blade to cut and blunt the the tiny Kiarns holding the line. |
