Reality disruption fields. Sends user to a completely different place to the user's disadvantage.

Make it endless.
So like, once they move 20 studs the whole obstacle course+Camera move backwards.
That also means it needs to be local.

Make it teleport them to the beggining right before the touch the win thing.

Make a start menu thing with saving/loading. Using SDukes Idea, make it so when you almost touch the win thing, you go back to the start menu. You click Load and you appear at the win part.

Create bunches of alts and make the course extend through a few different places using teleportation. Like Portal, only you actually move to different places :D

(Use different spawns so that there's multiple entrance/exits in each place)

Make it like a maze type thing with randomly generated maps. For example, make a matrix of tiles that would be the "board" and say there's 100 spots. Each one can be either Wall, Obstacle, or Blank. Then after generating it runs a pathfinding algorithm (A*) to see if it is a possible option. If not, it tries again. Experiment with chance of getting wall or not.

Isn't it easier to generate a path there then make branches and stuff off of that? that's what I'd always do.

Mine will be more random and confusing by making it have no definitive path. The entrance to exit may be visual but covered with traps. Or it could have one small way through. It's more exciting.

not necesarily, if you make it try to branch off more at when it turns then it can easily be just as random and less costly.
