Then that's quite sad. \: Expand your musical taste, maybe?.. Knowing OF a band =/= knowing a band, but still. // |

"Yeah, no thanks. I tried and i didn't like."
Okay that comes off as very close-minded though

"Pfft, i'm close minded because i don't enjoy generic, bland, forgettable music? Sorry, but all music these days sounds the same."
No, it's because you refuse to turn off your radio. |

"Pfft, i'm close minded because i don't enjoy generic, bland, forgettable music?""
No you're close minded because you judge all music you do not listen to as, and I quote, "generic, bland, forgettable"

"I tried listening to some modern music and it just didn't strike me as interesting. It all sounds the same."
What I meant was that you apparently only pay attention to what's on the radio, and judge an entire generation on that. I think we got another classic rock elitist here. :D |

"Those 3 genres all have their unique sounds. But the songs in the genres don't have anything that make them unique, they all sound like their the same song. You want to know why i enjoy Classic Rock? Because the songs that legends like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones stick in my head. They are memorable and unique. You can call me any names you want, it's my opinion and that's it."
There's nothing wrong with you, besides your ignorance. You can like Classic Rock all day, but at least if you opened up, you wouldn't seemed so close-minded.

"Give me a list of your favorite songs to listen to. I'll listen to them for the rest of the night and see if i change."
Coming from a fan of Extreme Metal, I won't bother suggesting any of those songs.
Van Nuys, by Sixx:A.M. Life is Beautiful, by Sixx:A.M. Solitary Shell, by Dream Theater Pull Me Under, by Dream Theater Operation: Mindcrime, by Queensryche Oscillation Point, by Scar Symmetry (I couldn't help myself, sorry) Draw Me, by Sonata Arctica Wolf and Raven, by Sonata Arctica (classic power metal song, just curious) A Day Away, by Seventh Wonder
if you want more, ask me. If you don't like them, it's not that you're shallow minded necessarily, it just doesn't mean you fancy the songs I listed,
