The sun was dyed a fearful red. Latios glanced at his sister. She let out a small whimper. Latios nodded and folded back his wings as he flew into the power of Arceus's Judgment. Latias watched as he began to glow with the power of Luster Purge. Latias flew slowly after him but Latios rejected her and told her to stay back. Tears fell down Latias's face. This was goodbye.
Latios tilted his body to the right. Latias watched as tears streamed down. Arceus looked at the apposing pokemon and started to call meteors. Light began to filtered through the dim-lit sky. Luster Purge lit the sky and the meteors were destroyed. *** Earlier.
Latios lifted his head as somebody entered the forest.
"Is it here?" "Should be." "Lucario. Do you sense it?" The Lucario nodded and ran off. The two men ran after him. "Go! Regigigas!" Latios looked down. Humans shouldn't catch legendary pokemon! Latios got up and used the refracting light to become invisible.
Latios watched as the Regigigas punched through the wall, revealing the stone his Great Grandfather was the Guardian of, the Angel's Light. Latios sped down and with tremendous force, he pushed over the man and took the Angel's Light.
"Heh...A Latios would be an excellent addition to our collection." Latios let out a growl, "Well that is what should be guarding this jem."
The two men grabbed a pokeball,"I call Latios." The other man sighed, "But I don't want a Latias..."
Latios sped over to his sister. He nudged her up and motioned his head. Latias followed Latios silently and quickly. He sped as he felt the two men following close behind Latias. Latios stopped and told Latias to keep going. Latias looked at him doubtfully but did not question his decision.
Latios growled as the two men approached.
"Get around him. We'll cut him off."
"What about the Latias?"
"To weak." The Latios watched as one of the men went around him. Latios closed his eyes as he began to use dragon claw. The man in front of him grabbed a pokeball and threw it. Latios felt for a moment like he was falling. Then it was all dark. He began to struggle. In an attempt to escape. But his attempts failed as the Master Ball clicked and he was caught.
"Heh...Resistance is futile..." The man looked at his partner, "Now what is the gem supposed to do?"
"Summon a giant fortress that, if the fables are correct, can summon the strongest pokemon..."
"But it is a fable..."
"The fable has been right about everything so far. Except...There is supposedly an interference..."
"What interferes?"
"Doesn't describe it..."
"Hmmm...Could it be...No..."
"What?"
"Nothing." The men left with the Angel's Light and Latios. Latias growled at their plot. She flew into the sky. she knew the fable the men spoke about. If it was correct, their target would be the Eon Tower in the middle of town. She folded her wings back and made her way to the Eon Tower.
***
Latios, curled up in the pokeball, began to wonder what his sister was doing. Fear rumbled in his stomach as he thought of his own future. He felt as the 2 men began to walk up stairs. Latios's eyes lit up. He knew what they were doing! He couldn't let that happen! He began to struggle and popped out of the Pokeball.
"Huh?! Get back in the pokeball!" Latios dodged the Pokeball's light and flew down in an attempt to grab the Angel's Light.
"Hit it! Hit it!" The other man said as the man who threw the pokeball, tried to knock it out. The man grabbed Latios's wing and pulled it down were it fractured it's bone.
"Laaaaa!" Latios yelled. The man laughed as he kicked the fainted Latios down the stairs.
"Ehh...He wasn't worth it anyways." The men continued up the stairs.
***
Latias met the top of the tower and looked at the place the Angel's Light was supposed to be inputted. Latias heard something...They were coming. She hid down to avoid being caught.
"There it is!" The man with the Angel's Light said.
"Lemme see that jewel..." The other man said taking the Angel's Light from the other man, "Just place it here..." The man said as he put the jewel into the slot.
The ground began to shake as something rose up...It looked like a fortress... Latias flew up and used Dragon pulse, taking the men by surprise.
"Err! Get out of here!" the fortress began to develop and a dark power enveloped the man who placed the gem into the slot.
"Heh. I love this power..."
"But...What about me...? Your partner?"
" I have no Partners...And...Since I am superior to you...Call me..." The man pondered slightly then lit up, "...Death...For I plan to kill anyone who gets in my way...Including pokemon!" Death laughed as Latias flew back shocked, but still readying Dragon Pulse.
"..." The man said as he watched his partner become more and more darkened.
"Arceus! Come forward!" Death shouted as a beam of light shot down. Latias launched her Dragon Pulse and hit the other man off the fortress.
"Take care of this pesky runt once and for all!"
Arceus started to use Hyper Beam. Latias charged forward as the Arceus used Hyper Beam. Latias flew aside but continued forward. Latias began to glow.
"Hm...Maybe Latias would've been a fine specimen to have caught..."
Latias's Mist ball blew the surroundings up around her...But Arceus took minimal damage.
"Arceus!!! Judgment!" Arceus pointed it's muzzle towards the sky and launched a Judgment.
"LAAAAA!" Latios sped forward and knocked his sister out of the way. The Judgment pelted Latios and he fell. Latias flew down and nudged Latios to his senses.
"Laa..." Latios got up.
"Arceus....! Destroy this useless town to pieces! Use your most powerful Judgment ever!"
Arceus began to charge it's attack. The sun began to turn a dark shade of red. Latios glanced at his sister. She let out a small whimper. Latios nodded and folded back his wings as he flew into the power of Arceus's Judgment. Latias watched as he began to glow with the power of Luster Purge. Arceus looked at the apposing pokemon and started to call meteors. Power unfolded as the two moves and the meteors clashed. Light began to filtered through the dim-lit sky. Luster Purge lit the sky and the meteors were destroyed.
Arceus fell back and the fortress began to burn up.
"What?! NO! My plans! My beautiful plans!"
Arceus faded into light...In the light...A shadow appeared.
"La...." Latios said...He was fading with Arceus.
"La..." Latias attempted to enter the light...Pull her brother out...But the light pushed her back. Latios was barely visible but his eyes were able to be seen. Tears held at the sides of them. The light went into the sky and the Fortress faded into a shiny dust that surrounded the sky. The man who had controlled it was on the ground and Officer Jenny had him handcuffed.
Latias flew to where her brother had been. She looked at the sky and remembered and important item. Latias flew to where the Fortress had been and picked up the Angel's Light. It was glowing brighter than usual. It was a sign of new hope. The hope that was to flourish because of Latios's sacrifice.
Yeah...Cheesy ending. Oh well. |
