"Thanks; it's a pretty vague and obscure John Lennon reference." Yeah it's great. Something everyone can appreciate and understand. And I like your name too, JoeJunTheGreat.

"John Lennon was really the epitome of what all humans should be like.
And there's at least one song in his music library for somebody. From pop music to avant garde, he basically covered every genre.
And his lyrics are absolutely beautiful. He and the rest of the Beatles really defined what songwriting should be." I wish that amazing legends like the Beatles would inspire our interests today. Now society mostly cares about rap and computerized song with repetitive and unoriginal lyrics.

"Before the Beatles, albums were basically filler material. The Beatles were really the first people to define an album as a work of art. Now, it's back to being filler materials. Or maybe the "artists" just can't make any music that doesn't seem hastily-made." Most artist today seem to rush their music just for the sake of making more money as quick as possible. The Beatles (and other music legends for that matter) took time and pride in their work.

"In fact, it took the Beatles 135 days to record Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Never before did a band work so long on an album. It seemed to pay off too, as Sgt. Pepper's is arguably the greatest album of all time.
Now, like you said, artists today just have people write some subpar songs, or maybe they'll even write a subpar song of their own, and then release them as fast as they can. I bet they don't even take 1/20 of the time to make an album as the Beatles did." In general, the music industry has been deteriorating. Maybe every once in a while a meaningful song is produced, but it will probably never make it to the levels of hard work and meaningfulness that bands like the Beatles showed.
