Same goes for AJAX and XML. Apparently, it's a language. I thought it was just a nice, easy-to-integrate database. |

Oh drat. I can create a new database in PHP with: mysql_query(CREATE DATABASE name, connection)
Now, how do I run that, exactly? Won't it create multiple instances of the same database, one for each time the page is loaded? |

Yeah, create the database and populate the fields either with MySQL itself, or phpMyAdmin.
@sethixzonsalt So you can use the database language outside the other language? |

Just get phpMyAdmin, it's a visual SQL "control panel" in PHP. phpMyAdmin.net. -->Download>Extract to your website, into a folder named phpMyAdmin -> go into your browser, and go to localhost/phpMyAdmin -> Input your information ->???->Profit.

| AJAX isn't really a language but more of a technique used to send HTTP Requests in the background. Just use phpMyAdmin to manage your MySQL database — it'll make your life easier. |

... I hate you MySQL. Why don't you just WORK??? I'm getting two weird errors which, according to google, no one's figured out yet D: 1) I can't create a new account. Everyone claims "Fixed in MySQL tools x.x.x" Yeah right. 2) I can't connect to MySQL with PHP. I try using localhost and it says it can't find it. I try using IP with the root account and the root account's pas sword. Error saying I'm not connecting with the passw ord.
So, I can't make a new account and I can't use the root account. Oh yeah, I can't log in to phpMyAdmin either. Great... |

Did you install PHP/MySQL to your computer? Or are you using a free online host? |

| I installed it to my computer, as a test. (If you want my IP address: no). |

*facepalm* It's a really bad idea to do that if you've had no experience whatsoever with Apache/PHP/MySQL. Use XAMPP or use some other kind of free host. Google "free web hosting area." And click the first result. |

| Don't worry; I don't plan on making a website. I just want to get PHP to interact with MySQL. My PHP code is fine; it's just not connecting. I don't plan on running a website from my computer, lulz. |

| Yes, I would think so. I just want to try to get PHP to interact with MySQL. I'm just making a simple "Register account" system. Once I get that up and running I'm stopping Apache and MySQL (probably, permanently). |
