Because it is the largest nation in Europe and often the strongest. That an the fact that the other strongest, Britain, is across the sea and France is on our border, coupled with the fact that Britain was our ally for most of our history.
And surrender monkeys? No.
Bio, incase I remember, the French have fought more wars than Canada has, and Canada has never gone to war by itself. Shouldn't be doubting your masters shall we? (Without France, Canada would not exist) |

Too bad it will be condemned as an illegal action you 'tard if you even touched the island.
And it would be way more stupid than an invasion of Iraq which you so love to criticize. |

It's not an invasion, it sovereign Canadian land, and is more or less part of the whole conflict over the arctic that is going on.
It would certainly send the message that we mean business and won't be pushed over. It would be nothing more then another Falklands war, accept it's the america's side that wins and owns the land in the first place. |

| No. You cannot invade sovereign territory like that. Ever. Unless the UN is disbanded, BUT NOPE! CANT HAVE THAT BECAUSE IF IT WAS DISBANDED, CANADA WOULD BE LOLROLLED BY THE US AND RUSSIA! |

| And Denmark would win. Why? Because it would be considered an attack on Denmark, and thus the allies of the EU would come barreling down on Canada. |

| Denmark is a NATO member you moron. Since Canada is the aggressor, USA would be obligated to invade Canada. |

Our land.
Our troops have already been on hans island, and the Danes, scared for their life, dare not respond and in fact sent us a diplomatic envoy, they feared us so.

| Funny Canada talks hard, but they never act. At least when most nations of the world talk about land disputes, they actually act instead of hiding behind there moose tanks powered by maple syrup. |
