Honestly, the two aren't really all that comparable.
Anime and cartoons are both animation, yes, but most cartoons are wacky and most anime is (or tries to be) serious.
But there have been serious cartoons, like Batman: TAS and Gargoyle, for instant.
I don't watch much anime, but I guarentee there's wacky stuff in that too.
It's like comparing apples to oranges, sure, they're both fruit but they are way different.
Not to mention all the different types. |
