Hey, I just learned how to make GUI's and have been experementing with them. One thing that I want to try is create a GUI that will allow you to equip weapons instead of having the generic numbered weapons along the bottom. Does anyone have any Ideas on how to do this? or even just pointers? or even better if you have a script already and are willing to share that would be great.
anything helps, and thanks in advance. |

I was actually thinking of how to do this. :P
---- So you would have a row of buttons, in this example, three. When you click on one, that weapon gets equipped, and your old one gets removed. The weapons would be stored in Lighting. A minimize button might be helpful too. :) |

| Just use the on equipped function inside the Gui. |

| Well if you go with the buttons, I think you can equip a tool if you make it's Parent your character. |

Ok those are some good sugestions, I will go mess around with them a bit, maybe even look inside a pre-built weapon to see if I can find any sort of equip script I could drop in the GUI button. One quick question, how do you put the weapon in lighting? can you just drag and drop? or is it more complicated? |

| I'm not sure if you can drag it into lighting. But you can just copy it and then right click Lighting and then click "Paste Into" |

A LocalBackpackTool is literally a Gui. They are placed in game.LocalBackpack.
Also, it is impossible to fire the Selected event by selecting the HopperBins (or Equipped for Tools/Flags) using a script; the LocalPlayer MUST equip/select the weapon via LocalBackpackTool |

@Arceus
So do you now if there is any way to modify the localbackpacktool from the generic buttons because, as you say, it is a GUI?
if not is there any way to route a script through the localbackpack tool so that the weapons are still placed inside to backpack we just make to Icons dissapear and create our own? |

@matt
could you please explain more about you post: "Just use the on equipped function inside the Gui" I am not sure what function you are decribing, is it somthing you can insert? or somthing you have to call upon via script? |

| Just use a GUI button like someone else said and trying making it dump a tool into their backpack. |
