This guide will be covering the discipline that will be given if you've failed to obey the rules of Simmer - depending on the situation, the punishment will be varied, whether you've had a simple misunderstanding or if you've purposely done something to disobey the guidelines. If you believe you have/someone else has been incorrectly punished, then please contact a member of the Senior Executive Team (Vice President+) and we'll be able to review the situation in more detail.
1 | Warnings You'll first of all be given a warning for disobeying; of course, this is entirely dependent on how extreme the circumstances are. If it's an exploiter, then no warnings will be given and the suspect will be immediately banned as we do not allow exploiters. However, in most situations, you'll be given a warning, and due to recent issues, we've limited the number of warnings to one to prevent rudeness towards staff and to prevent the situation being spread. If continued even after being warned, further action will be taken to ensure the guidelines are followed.
2 | Suspension/Ban Now, this rule depends on your role on the Simmer group. If you're a Guest simply visiting Simmer and you have no relations with the restaurant whatsoever, then you'll be banned due to you not following the rules even after they've been clarified. Once again, if you feel like you've been falsely banned then contacting an S.E.T is necessary. Although, if you're a member of Simmer, you'll be suspended for a period of time entirely dependent on what you've disobeyed. Suspensions last for no longer than 72 hours (3 days), and if they do, it'll only be in extreme situations. For example, not using acceptable grammar would only be a 4 hour - 1-day ban, however, Admin Abusing would be for necessarily longer. During a suspension, you'll be isolated from visiting the restaurant or communicating via the D8scord or group wall until your suspension ends. If the actions continue even after a suspension, then even further action will be taken.
3 | Demotion The harshest punishment aside from banning is a demotion, and this is when the guidelines are being purposely ignored and we believe you're not showing enough effort to change your ways. Once again, this is based on what you've done to how far down you'll be ranked, but most likely you'll be demoted down to Trainee due to you refusing to follow rules. Remember, complaining about your demotion only decreases your chances of you being repromoted, and may result in a ban if done so; we demote people for a reason and you have to accept that unless you believe it's very inconvenient or unfair. We aren't afraid to permanently ban those who still refuse to respect our authorities.
In some rare cases, some of these methods will be skipped as some situations are more serious than others, for example, exploitation will result in an immediate permanent ban. Please remember that if you feel that something isn't fair about our discipline, contact a Senior Executive and discuss it with them - we're always open to criticism to make Simmer wonderful! We appreciate you reading through this and I hope you can understand our decisions, these may change in the future depending on how well these follow through and how much we decide to trust our staff team. Any questions? I suggest you message me, Beakine, and I may answer any enquires you have on discipline!
