I have always done it though the serverscript, but I was just informed that doing it through local using a ray will be a ton better.
Is there really a 'better' way of doing this? |

| Both. You have to use a localscript to gather information about the character and draw a #### ### to do damage and effects you need to invoke a server request to a serverscript. |

| Don't use bodymovers, they are laggy and so are collision mechanics. Raycasting and gui effects like in Phantom Forces are the best option. |
