Whats the safest way to go about making a minimap system, would it be using raycasting or something else? I feel like I should know these thing be I don't.

Thanks for the helpful link, oh and by safest I meant lag because some examples I have seen are just way to laggy to make them viable in game sorry for being unclear.

make a MASSIVE DECAL of the map and use clipsdecendants for the frame. make a server script that:
1. uses a playeradded event
2. inside of the event in 1, uses a characteradded event
3. fires a remote that moves an imagelabel every time the character's humanoidrootpart moves

...or something. idk if this would work.

thats a horrible idea for one all decals will be squished down to the default size, and also hard coding a minimap is just a bad idea in general if your game can avoid it. at least on roblox its a bad idea.
