Everytime I use the crouch function, the player falls through the map, regardless of how many bricks are beneath the user
The crouch function simply welds the legs at specific positions, nothing too nasty, but yet this still happens.
- I also get the same problem when I weld objects to the user's torso, could it be the weight?
I'm not sure. Any ideas folks?

It's definitely not the weight. Make sure PGSSolver is enabled, and make sure the script is not making the character non-collidable. It would probably be smarter to use a looped Animation instead |

The baseplate is at 50 studs, why would replacing it with a spawn work?

If the objects you are welding to the torso are super heavy then it's possible I guess. Still very improbable, unless the object is like 1000x1000x1000
Go into CustomPhysicalProperties of the parts of whatever you're welding and ensure their densities are set to as close to 0 as possible if you don't want them to influence the char |
