A message to every developer out there, and I should hope everyone else listens to it:
I know how you feel. You, me, developers all around the world pour their hearts into virtual games for others to enjoy. They spend money on developement, when they might have needed it more. They have all the hassle of hackers on their hands. They have all the trouble of the game engine (ROBLOX in this case) changing. They devote their lives to the games they make. And what do they get? A lot of backlash. Even if its the most popular game in the world of the internet. Developers around the world do NOT deserve this! It should be considered abuse and harrassment! They are still the same person inside and out! And they should get no less respect than anyone else. If people knew the challenges of creating code, testing it, finding out that it wont work and then having to manually debug it yourself, people would treat developers with a lot more respect. They dont have to make these games. But they do anyway, for everyone else. And when people call developers 'mean' and 'selfish' for not making them an admin or adding something they want, it disgusts me. If they really want those features and privileges, why dont they go ahead and make a replica of the game themselves. On their own. Without following from a "Dummys guide to making a game" book that they bought for nothing but money. Or spending less than 100£/$/whatever on their projects. And dealing with the complaints of the players. Then they would know. Developers do NOT deserve this. They are the same as you and me. Its not their fault they have a knack for constructing decent games and the like. And why should they lose all the respect they had before, JUST because they made a good thing that people like? I wrote this for you. And for all the developers around the world. I hope that someday, Some people will realise what it is like. And just think before they type. |

| I'm not sure if you can call yourself much of a developer, if you can't tell the difference between an exploiter and a hacker. |

| I used "hacker" because it makes people understand it easier. More people know (or think they know" what a hacker is than an exploiter |

Most devs on here get blacklash because they either make a free modeled tycoon, an obby or some roleplay, which take no effort.
Some devs on here even scam, and some just care about money other than effort.
It's very rare on game design for a dev to make an original game that has effort.
I've seen some enjoyable games on here, but most of the games on this forum are just...awful in my opinion

i think some people are misunderstanding the term "developer".
A developer is ANYBODY who has ever contributed a substantial, crucial amount to a project. |

| Also i joined before all of you guys so far so if anything theres a higher chance of me being more experienced. Ya know, all developers start off terrible, then they, over time, start to flourish. ;) |

Pretty arrogant of you to feel the need to be entitled just because you develop games, yet can't produce quality. No wonder you can get so much black-lash. Don't use your join date as a valid point, lol.

Pretty low quality games if you ask me. |

As a developer, I'll have to disagree with this.
There are occupations all over the world where people pour their blood, sweat, and tears into their work for others and they get just as much criticism and backlash. Not just developers. Not only this, but developers being criticised is what makes them better. If developers were praised like gods for every game that they made just because it involved effort, neither you nor I would ever improve. Criticism and backlash are what drives us to improve, and what makes the games better. In reality, it's not just our players bashing us for our work, it is more of a mutualistic relation. We make, they criticize, we improve, they get better games. I extremely encourage everyone to keep giving us a hard time (not bullying or threats though) because if everyone thought Galaga was the perfect game when it came out, ROBLOX would not even exist and we'd still be playing pixelated games in arcades.
Overall, sure, appreciate what developers do, but don't praise them like gods or hold back on the criticism. It's what makes us better.
Peace ;) |

Im not talking about criticism.
Im talking about complaints like:
"WHY CANT I BE ADMIN?!?!?"
"I HATE THIS GAME!"
"YOU ARE TERRIBLE!" |

| Criticism is an essential. But writing something just because you can that will purposely annoy/upset someone is unneccessary. |

| I don't agree with this and even I'm a developer. If you're sponsoring you game, and personally it's trash then that's your own fault. You need to think before sponsoring such games. A lot of developers create games they think would bring customers, yet lose their attention because it's not fun to play. When sponsoring games it's 50/50 chance it'll become successful. |

| I'm not saying that, Skellington, I am talking about the front page games like Murder Mystery 2, Phantom Forces, etc. ALL of these developers get 10 to 200+ hate and complaint messages EVERY DAY. |
