US Army Training (and Doctrine) Command BASIC Training Handbook and Guidelines
TRADOC reserves the right to kick ANYBODY out of their training base if they are being disruptive, disrespectful, or are unpleasant to look at.
The current appointed DS can choose up to 2 people to co-host this training, and they are required to listen to the DS’s instruction regardless of rank.
All trainees are required to follow the uniform regulations, which are as follows: -Must be wearing Proper OCPs With Head Gear, if you are a Host or Co-Host and you see this, tell them what proper head gear to wear. -Appropriate Skin Color, no abnormal skin colors.
Acronyms you need to know: USM: The United States Military, owned by GMF34 BMT: Basic Military Training BCT: Basic Combat Training OCS: Officer Candidate School DS: Drill Sergeant STS: Shoulder-To-Shoulder (Formation line) PT: Physical Training B&C: Breaching and Clearing
The different types of training sessions are BMT, BCT, and OCS. BMT and BCT are the basic forms of training, and everyone is required to pass BMT. This forum is dedicated to the basic forms of training. The Structure of BMT: -Initial Formation (Optional) Inspection
-Drill Commands -Classroom -PT (Physical Training) (Optional) Combat (Optional) B&C (Optional) Marching (Optional) [Custom]*
-Final Formation (Optional): Promotion Ceremony -Dismissal
*We allow our DS’s to be creative, they may add any training activity they like.
The Structure of BCT is not constant, any event involving combat such as a skirmish or a raid qualifies as BCT.
Explaining the Structure: Initial Formation: Before the training begins the Instructor will have the trainees line up before him, STS. This is how EVERY training session will begin, with the exception of raids.
Drill Commands: You will be required to learn these commands and perform them during training. Announce Ready. (Respond with “(R)eady(.)”, Capitals and Punctuation required. Left Face (90 Degree Counter-Clockwise Turn) Right Face (90 Degree Clockwise Turn) About Face (180 Degree Turn) Ha#########ace (45 Degree Counter-Clockwise Turn) Half Right Face (45 Degree Clockwise Turn) Present Arms (Salute, any ‘face’ command is obsolete at this point) Order Arms (Stop saluting, you can now respond to face commands.) Present Weapons (Draw your rifle) Order Weapons (Put your rifle away)
Classroom: In the classroom the DS may quiz you on USM’s current events or on the Army’s ranks and staff structure.
PT: The DS will order you to follow him to the obstacle courses, line up, and run the course as a group. PT may also include skydiving, running laps, or jumping jacks.
(Optional) Anything listed Optional is not required in the average training, and the way it’s run is decided by the DS.
Final Promotions: At the end of every training there is the possibility that at least one of you will be promoted. The DS will line you up, take down names, and give the names to their superior.
Dismissal: Leave. |
