| Me, an intellectual, was simply testing a "Build to Survive" game idea. Everything works except for the ####### tool. Every time I selected a model to use the model would never load in and I got the error "exception while signaling: InsertService cannot be used to load assets from the client". I thought this was strange and after awhile of testing I decided to see how other "Build to Survive" games tackled this problem. Going in I noticed that recently the "Build to Survive" games were getting really low rating than they normally had. On further inspection the same problem persists through every single "Build to Survive" game I played, models would not load and people were stuck without shelters. Any ideas? |

you can't use InsertServer:LoadAsset on the client, it's server only for obvious reasons |

| Ah. They must have changed this to fix that "hacking" error that completely shut down Welcome to Roblox Building. You know, the one where people just hacked in their own models. |

UPDATE:
When running a game within Roblox studio (and not a server), you can load client models. |

| In Roblox Studio "play" mode everything is local. That's why we have server test mode. |

| In theory, would it work if the script was not ran locally? Or am I just being stupid and we have to recreate an entirely new ####### tool just to have these types of games again. |

| ...no need to think about it in "theory." If it works in an actual game then it works...? |

IDEA:
Would it be possible if instead of finding models within a player's sets, we create a folder within the server and drag models from there to use. |

The only problem with that is: 1) I can't script completely from scratch 2) Even if I could figure out how to reverse engineer the code of the stumper (regular name tags out) tool, there are a little less than 1900 lines of code in it. |

If you want to do this, you could either enable InsertService.AllowClientInsertModels which is highly unreccomended, or use a remote.
