Paying 2k group funds to anyone that can make me a part that moves along the lines of a quadratic Bezier Curve from the starting position, to the ending position (mouse.Hit.p)
heres all the information you need (I think)
- Starting Position = yourpart.Position - Maximum Height = 20 - End position = Mouse.Hit.p
http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Bézier_curves (read the first example, called Quadratic Bezier Curve)
once you're finished, message me a link to your game, and if it works, Ill give you the 2k & you give me the script. thanks. |

| Its ok, don't need anyone to do this anymore, got it myself. heres the equation if anyones wondering in the future.. local positions = {} local function quadEq(x,xInt) local y = (-1 * x ^ 2) + (xIntx) return y end for i = 1,dis+1 do local y = quadEq(i,dis+1,-0.5,1)/400 table.insert(positions,CFrame.new(p1.X - ((stepX/dis)(i-1)),y+(p1.Y - ######################## - ((stepZ/dis)(i-1)))) end |

That's the answer itself.
1x^2 + 5x - 5 or x^2 + 5x -5
In order to be able to solve it, there shouldn't be an any different kind of variables or exponents differently. Perhaps, what I mean, for example, is that 1x^2 + 5x are different. The 1x^2 has an exponent and the 5x is just lonely with his "x" (Get it? hehe--nevermind). Along with the -5. So as for my conclusion, I'd say the answer is what it is itself. Believe it or not.
Math is great, by the way.
