IN THE LAS VEGAS CITY COUNCIL, OCTOBER 5TH, 2017.
(a) If a member of the Council is to submit an inactivity notice, it must be recorded on the Trello under the ‘Council Members’ on their player card.
(a)(i) Whilst inactive, they must select two dates, and rough times. This must then be added by a ‘Due Date’.
(a)(ii) To avoid abuse, the reason must be ‘legitimate’.
(a)(iii) We will define ‘legitimate’ as: “Able to be defended with logic or justification; valid”.
(b) Whilst inactive they are removed from the ability to vote, which we will describe as a ‘temporary impeachment’, in that, their vote(s) will not be counted during their inactivity period.
(b)(i) For each person inactive, the Majority Rule shall adjust, for example, if two Councilmen/women were to be inactive for a span of 3 days, (and we have a total of 9), the Majority Rule would now decrease to 4. As we only have an active 7 members.
(The reasoning for this is so that, we are able to reach consensus on a bill without waiting for people to return from their inactivity periods. This will improve the efficiency of the Council).
