Hello!
I've "recently" gotten into learning how to script, I read the wiki multiple times, watched countless videos and tutorials on YouTube; However I struggle to apply the knowledge I've gained into something worth wile, or at least to show myself I'm making progress in order to build up confidence in my ability to script.
The only "notable" example I can come up with would be this sub-par minigame I made a while ago: https://www.roblox.com/games/407773743/--
So I ask, would this be the time to lurk around the game development forum and look for not-so-difficult projects (since I have no real ideas on what to script)? Or do I find other means of applying what I've learned before I end up forgetting most of it? |

Think of something you really like and try to make that. It doesn't have to be perfect on the first try, what's important is with every attempt you learn more and more until you can achieve a serviceable product you can be proud of.
Not the answer you were looking for but I don't 100% know what you are capable of so I'm just going to tell you to do what I did.
The fastest way to learn new things is to keep trying new things while picking up convenient tricks along the way.
Experiment. All. The. Time.
You will never know what you are truly capable of until you actually try.
I usually go out foruming at night so don't be surprised if I stopped making sense after a while |
