| I could easily run ROBLOX under Ubuntu (with Wine), yet the 'Download' button is blocked, and a note at the top says 'ROBLOX is only compatible with Windows. Is there an alternate download or is it possible to trick the website into thinking I'm running Windows? |

try going to roblox.com/install/default.aspx if that doesn't work, then try downloading the installer on a friend's computer and copy it onto a flash drive |

Windows users wouldn't understand but Ubuntu is 1000 times better than Windows. One thing I like to do with wine is to download firefox for windows and download applications for windows with it.
Also you're going to have a lot of trouble getting roblox to run because it REQUIRES internet explorer and getting IE properly integrated into WINE will be a BIG hastle.
Also I remember that by default WINE didn't used to come with DirectX preconfigured. That may have changed but you might have to install DirectX too. |

Currently, you need to buy Windows and use a VM (VirtualBox, Parallels) to run Roblox.
It sounds really resource-intensive but it's currently the only way. I don't think Roblox is able to run on Wine. |

I would love to download Linux on my computer, but not enough support for it. While using Mac OS I've had very bad experiences with WINE and Bootcamp. |

Well, the only reason no one has Ubuntu is because everyone is used to Windows. Also a lot of softwares are really only supporting Windows because not many people use Linux. Now, I bet its better, "including that viruses on Ubuntu is like 3%..."
