1) Pretty much everyone here tries to help. A lot of people do it in a nice way, but damn some people do it in the jerkiest way possible.
2) A lot of people come here to ask a question and then never return the favor, never help anyone else, this really gets me for some reason.
3) EGOS! Down with the egos, no need to keep saying how good you are
4) THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT PLACE TO HIRE SCRIPTERS NO WE ALSO DONT WORK FOR FREE OR PERCENTAGES IF WE WANT A JOB WE WOULD GET ONE IN GAME DESIGN
5) All of the people that left :( RIP
6) This used to be where people helped each other now it's just a lot of "looking to hire scripters"
Despite all that I still continue posting here (although not regularly), this subforum always will keep a place in my heart because damn I've learned a lot here.
I always came here for help and tried to help other people in return, but whenever I help someone I never see them back to help anyone, that just makes me sad because this subforum is dying. |

Let's look at the rules: Scripters: "This subforum is only for requesting help with Roblox scripting." Game Design: "This subforum is only for requesting help with designing Roblox games."
Neither explicitly disallows hiring of individuals. Though, only one (The Scripters rules), mentions scripting. So if someone wants to hire a /scripter/ to /script/, in ther /scripters subforum/, then it isn't prohibited by the rules. |

Game Design: "This is the forum to get help, talk about future Roblox game ideas, or gather an awesome building team."
"gather an awesome building team" Kinda up for interpretation but it's the closest thing that you'll get to: "Find a development team here" |

| Every question people request are dumb. First of all, they always ask for things, not "could u help me with this." then, they don't show the script or don't tell us where the error is. ECT |

| Why do we even care about the scripters subforum anymore? The scripters community forum is so much better. |

@iiNemo Yeah how do they even expect us to help? Especially when they get paranoid: "YOULL ALL PROBS STEAL MY SCRIPT"
@Axon 1) I'm against the idea of splitting the community up 2) I don't want to hand my information over to a single person instead of a corporation. 3) They are probs power hungry like all other ""communities"" |

"then it isn't prohibited by the rules." It is prohibited, not by the forum rules, but by actual Roblox rules in the Code of Conduct.

Everything is prohibited in the TOS. They said something like: "Not everything is in here but if you do something that we dont like we can still see that as a TOS breach" |

everytime someone posts a link to that "How to properly hire a scripterer" thread, i get triggered because the title itself is already wrong.
there is no proper way to "hire a scripter" just as there is no way to "properly steal an account".
both actions violate ROBLOX's ToS

"Not everything is in here but if you do something that we dont like we can still see that as a TOS breach"
That statement would add exceptions for things not listed, not invalidate any illegal actions that are specifically listed in the ToS.

I believe it's a shame that scripting discussion merged in with scripting helpers. Though no-one really listened and ported in Scripters anyway, it was nice to have that separation and meant that scripting helpers was a lot more wholesome - people went there to help moreso than discuss, so you didn't get as many people who were annoyed at simpler help requests.
That said, I suppose the dev forums has replaced it somewhat, but it's a shame there's no on-site forum for it anymore. |
