I vaguely remember there being a way to set not only the position and orientation of the ThumbnailCamera (which I've done) but also a way to create my own Lighting "scene" so to speak. I initially thought to clone the Lighting into the object as well as the ThumbnailCamera, but the Lighting cannot be cloned.
This article only talks about the Thumbnail Camera: wiki.roblox.com/index.php/Setting_a_Thumbnail_Picture
Does anyone have experience? |

Position your camera (what you are looking at), then copy the main camera in the workspace, then put it in your model, then name it exactly "ThumbnailCamera".
If you did it right, it should be the same position as your camera.

| Mhm, that's all done. Just need the Lighting somehow, if that's still possible. |

It's a remake of a plugin I found with additions I wanted in it. Also your right with the lighting this and a big tip is to use the FOV of 10 it gives it a cleaner look and effect:

| Those don't affect brightness/time of day/outdoor ambient |

| Hmm, I'm personally not sure... what exactly are you trying to do? |

Trying to get the model thumbnail to look as if it were taken in an environment with the same lighting properties as my game.
For example, the brightness of whatever environment they use when creating the thumbnail is dull, but I have the brightness set to 2 in my game, so the colors are very vibrant. This means that items in-game often look different than their model thumbnail.
