ive spent well over a year now trying to master everything and i will admit i have gotten qquite far since i first started but i cant really do anything useful. I dont know how long it will take me to get to the level of knowledge everyone on here is on, but i sure am losing motivation. I dont wanna keep on sitting down on a chair typing random stuff in hopes to one day get a good paying job for it. And no, im not doing it for the money, i genuinely have a passion for programming, its just that i feel like im not doing anything resourceful when i type lua code in a program ment for kids to use. I need advice, really, i know all of you dont care and i dont blame you, but i just want some words to tell me languages i can learn that can get me a better resume in the future, something that can get assure even a little more betterness for my hobby. Thx |

| Start trying to make a big game, once you really see people's support (even the hate) and stuff it helps a lot. |

| You just described my exact situation. Python is the one to learn if you can't think of anything specific but i can't say from experience as i've never learnt it. C# is where its at if you plan to make games on unity3d. I personally have been using javascript and node to create websites and applications but i'm just not creative enough. |

| I'm the same way, it works best if you find an old popular game and remake that like Prison life to Jailbreak. |

my boat still sinks though, jailbreak was a very good made game. I only know about 40% of lua in my opinion, and ive been scripting and practicing CONSTANTLY for over a year now. |

| It's not the fact you need to know everything, its the fact you need to know how to get to the end result. I can say I don't know 100% of everything but I know a good portion... a very large portion. You also need to know how to use roblox, you can find more efficient and consistent work-arounds then going the direct route. |

| For robotics we use C# on Visual Studio to make our electronic scouting software every year. I know that the C language family and Java are used a lot in the coding world. I hope you find new motivation :) |
