Pretty solid. For what it was, I really enjoyed it. A handful of cliches, but they're at least used well. It's a remake after all. I loved the opening scene with Georgie, the child actors in general were just phenomenal. The gore was just... brutal. And the sound was outstanding. The fast-cut scenes were a tad weak but I won't make mountains out of molehills.
Overall fantastic movie. Enjoyable, tense, and for the whole family! Well.. maybe 1 person in every 5 families.
I recommend anyone who likes horror movies to go see it. Take it for what it is, I promise it'll be enjoyable.

I watched it once, was great comedy. 20/10 stars. Georgie getting bit by It had me laughing already. Whoever directed is a genius at comedy.
If you want horror try Boo! A Madea Halloween. That was real scary.

I think, yes it definitely had flaws. And I really hate to say that because I adored the movie. But I won't be unreasonable. Again. The fast-cut scenes were a little... eh. It was hard to focus on what was happening exactly and I just wanted to see them beating the hell out of the clown in the film's unmoderated violence. Unfortunately it got a little fuzzy at times.
Oh. If I had to give it a review... I'm going out of 10 because I'm a filthy casual and hate decimals. 7/10 or 8/10.
Don't take that as a bad thing though. When I give something a 7/8, I'm saying it is definitely a worthwhile movie that I absolutely recommend to anyone enamored with the genre. Nothing can be perfect and eventually you learn to appreciate that, and cope with a film's flaws.

No it wasn't close to corny, I would like to think it was one of the more shockingly straightforward and violent horror movies. Very welcoming change of pace.
If you want an idea of what I'm talking about, look up the intro scene to the movie (Georgie and his boat). They really didn't hold back what they wanted to put on screen.
