Recently ive been learning alot scripting from the roblox wiki. I think its time to expand to other language's in coding to expand my knowledge in roblox since ive recently had it really hard to learn things in scripting. I hope you could give me some coding language's that is easy to learn yet effective.
Thx for taking you time reading
And pls reply with some languages
Hopefully i will see you later Bye!

Lua is the only one supported by ROBLOX.

###### its time to expand to other language's in coding to expand my knowledge in roblox since ive recently had it really hard to learn things in scripting." This doesn't really make sense to me. Nothing can help you learn lua more than learning lua, and what makes you think you won't have the same troubles you're having in other languages.

Coding language's is made the same way and same logic. It will help me understand better the logic and system of coding
to those who asks why i need to know other languages too

Yes, but your plan is to learn other languages to help you learn lua. Why not just learn lua?!

It just seems counterintuitive. The same logic won't be any easier in another language, so why try to learn it somewhere else?
to each there own, I suppose.

His logic isn't wrong. Knowing a wide array of languages helps understand the differences in "thought structure" between them which in turn makes you more efficient at learning new ones since the concept is not new to you. |

^ Learning (a decent part of) Lua took me all of about a week, but learning JS (my first language) took me a month and a half. By the time I learnt Lua, I was already decent or proficient in other languages, so the only thing that took time to get used to was the syntax.

That's a valid point, but this guy doesn't know lua. His point is that he's going to try to learn a different language solely to help him learn lua. The thing is, why not just learn lua? Knowing another language would certainly help him learn lua, but before he can know another language he has to learn it, with which time he could have spent learning lua which is his end goal. It just doesn't make sense.

I started as a web developer in early ##### ## ###### at that time, PHP was the biggest web-based language. Later in the years, website development required more faster frameworks, which required knowledge of JavaScript and several JavaScript frameworks . I feel like PHP gave me a decent foundation, but JavaScript really helped out a lot. You could always read over the Roblox wiki for help though.

C# Is the closest to Lua. It is the most common language used in Unity. So there you go. :)

Stick with Lua. By learning Lua, other languages should be pretty easy if you want to learn them.

C# is so far from Lua that you may never even find a download button without help. It's hyperbole, yes, but the two languages are completely opposite.
C# is very strongly-typed, heavily OOP, and most things you do need to be explicit. Lua is very very loosely-typed, not OOP at all, and Lua is so implicit you could probably just mash your keyboard and get a working script. Again, hyperbole, but you get the idea.
Python and Ruby are both very close to Lua.
