The ability to profit from ROBLOX is what ruined it. Developers no longer developed for the community and with the community, the developer to profit, it is the same with groups and now the catalog with 1000 copies of the same shirt.
But the ability to profit also brought a more sinister audience. This audience didn't have the time to put in effort into games, groups, or copying clothing. All they had to do was create bots which in my opinion lead to the increased censorship, removal of servers (a fact not opinion), and inability to comment on many things.
Not to mention, when DevEX was introduced tix became hyperinflated and worth next to nothing, later ending in their removal.
But now, at this point, ROBLOX is bad, it is no longer a community driven game. What I and so many other veteran players joined for was the ability to create and be part of communities that they could relate to and even express themselves. This ability has mostly been thwart, the community is ever more disconnected than it ever has been.
I'm not really putting the blame on ROBLOX, I'm sure they did not expect what domino effect that DevEX would create but as always, with money there is greed.

Welcome Infamous.. from Clans and Guilds.. to ROBLOX News and Discussion. I welcome you.
Anywho.. I believe your argument is completely void. The ability to profit from the game has given people the motivation to develop, hence-forth making better developed games.. Because the better your game, the more people play, and the more money you make via gamepasses and in-game purchases.
And it's not just the consumers/players that get something good out of better developed games. The developers now have a drive to learn scripting/LUA so they can make good games to make some cash.
It's a win-win unless the developer doesn't even listen to the players.

I agree with "Reset".
Without Dev-Ex a ton of developers would leave.. unless they have a strong passion for game development and such. I believe most of the top-page game developers are here to make good games for the community while making some money from doing it.. no harm.

Well I joined later than you and I can already state where you went wrong here
Bots didn't do censorship It was the white soccer moms
They are so over protective that they watch over their child's shoulder all the time whenever they played The thing about minecraft was that it was always aimed at little kids so nobody swore and you were mostly alone
So yea, when they see children swearing or even somebody else, they get mad and write a bad review They also get mad if they find their kids playing bad games like "phantom forces"
Now Roblox switched from teens to little kids and that was when they teamed up with lego
And how did the little kids get here? Denis, dan, think noodles, kazok.
All from minecraft and all have larg amounts of kids watching them
How many little kids did you see walking around Roblox when you joined? That's right, none!
Tix were removed because Roblox was having some hard times with little kids just sitting there and doing nothing They wouldn't buy robux because they knew they had free tix which could turn into robux People stopped buying their products and most of this was because of Tix was a free money source I would've kept Tix but wouldn't let users trade it So they thought the right thing to do was remove Tix and all the items with it
But there is a bright side A lot of items that used to be Tix went for limited and a lot of noobs finally got rap! |

"The ability to profit from the game has given people the motivation to develop, hence-forth making better developed games.."
Well me stop you, we still have those free modeled games on front page like that survive an airplane, and escape the tub of slime obby. DevEX has ruined ROBLOX. Then the only way to actually use DevEX in ROBLOX is if you earlier had fame, or you clickbait. |

Yea but the owners weren't trying to make profit from the start.. They were most likely like, "Hey.. let me rip off this game so my friends and I can play it." Then it starts to gain traction, they put in-game purchases in the game and then they start dev-ex'ing..

devex has a few terms of use before you can use it, and they say that your game needs to have good security, be high quality and they can deny your requests for false advertising or doing any other "unethical activities"
this means that if the guy who makes "ADOPT AND RAISE A CUTE BABY IN BUILDERMAN'S WATERSLIDE CHALLENGE" tries to devex his robux, his request will be denied or if the guy that copies shirts constantly tries to devex his robux, he will be denied also to be eligible for using devex, your game must be high in quality and roblox manually checks the games that earned people the robux for devex, they can do this since devex is not a very common occurrence
so no, it did not ruin roblox, these low-effort clickbait creators cannot devex and they are doing it for robux, they don't gain anything else from it

"Yea but the owners weren't trying to make profit from the start.."
Those groups are dedicated to ripping off games and selling merchandise to make profit. Ever seen summer studio's overpriced items? They want to make profit. Ever seen the clickbait obbys? They sell skip level tools that are overpriced. Don't say that they were trying to make it so noobs don't destroy the server, cause that's wrong.
"They were most likely like, "Hey.. let me rip off this game so my friends and I can play it."'
So wrong, stop trying to hide from the facts. No one rips off games so their friends can play it. God knows how their games got on front page, but they didn't get their friends to do it. |

Bee Movie Script According to all known laws of aviation,
there is no way a bee should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway
because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black.
Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little.
Barry! Breakfast is ready! Ooming!
Hang on a second.
Hello?
- Ba######-##d##### - Oan you believe this is happening?
- I can't. I'll pick you up.
Looking sharp.
Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those.
Sorry. I'm excited.
Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son.
A perfect report card, all B's.
Very proud.
Ma! I got a thing going here.
- You got lint on your fuzz. - Ow! That's me!
- Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000. - Bye!
Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house!
- Hey, Adam. - Hey, Barry.
- Is that fuzz gel? - A little. Special day, graduation.
Never thought I'd make it.
Three days grade school, three days high school.
Those were awkward.
Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive.
You did come back different.
- Hi, Barry. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good.
- Hear about Frankie? - Yeah.
- You going to the funeral? - No, I'm not going.
Everybody knows, sting someone, you die.
Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead.
I guess he could have just gotten out of the way.
I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day.
That's why we don't need vacations.
Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances.
- Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are!
- Bee-men. - Amen!
Hallelujah!
Students, faculty, distinguished bees,
please welcome Dean Buzzwell.
Welcome, New Hive Oity graduating class of...
...9:15.
That concludes our ceremonies.
And begins your career at Honex Industries!
Will we pick ourjob today?
I heard it's just orientation.
Heads up! Here we go.
Keep your hands and antennas inside the tram at all times.
- Wonder what it'll be like? - A little scary.
Welcome to Honex, a division of Honesco
and a part of the Hexagon Group.
This is it!
Wow.
Wow.
We know that you, as a bee, have worked your whole life
to get to the point where you can work for your whole life.
Honey begins when our valiant Pollen Jocks bring the nectar to the hive.
Our top-secret formula
is automatically color-corrected, scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured
into this soothing sweet syrup
with its distinctive golden glow you know as...
Honey!
- That girl was hot. - She's my cousin!
- She is? - Yes, we're all cousins.
- Right. You're right. - At Honex, we constantly strive
to improve every aspect of bee existence.
These bees are stress-testing a new helmet technology.
- What do you think he makes? - Not enough.
Here we have our latest advancement, the Krelman.
- What does that do? - Oatches that little strand of honey
that hangs after you pour it. Saves us millions.
Oan anyone work on the Krelman?
Of course. Most bee jobs are small ones. But bees know
that every small job, if it's done well, means a lot.
But choose carefully
because you'll stay in the job you pick for the rest of your life.
The same job the rest of your life? I didn't know that. |

DevEx is really strict. Like somebody above said, your game has to meet a few requirements and your account itself needs to meet a requirement, your moderation history. DevEx can be so strict, they won't even let you if you have like a day ban for saying something inappropriate.

I still believe games were more fun before DevEX. While they were definitely of lower quality that can be attributed to the lower scripting options back then. Pirates Life is a game that comes to mind.

it's just with DevEX developers don't care about the people who play their games anymore. It's all about the $$$ they get from it.

| roblox definitely isnt a community driven game anymore, i agree with you on that. however, devex isn't the cause. it is a combination of factors (mostly roblox just becoming more popular) that lead to it being less community-driven. |
