For people (everyone) having trouble connecting to games, the answer is ROBLOX has been DDoS'ed, which is a Distributed Denial of Services. What this means is someone has got round all the security (knowing roblox there's probably nothing to get around) and stopped people using the site properly. These happen to every website eventually and all we can do is sit tight until everything is up and running again. Luckily, this looks to be a minor attack, as many larger attacks often result in denial of entry of the website entirely.
Which leads me onto my next point: Does roblox have any protection against this? We already know that there is no protection against bots, as we found out in the huge scam earlier this year. After a site has been subject to these attacks, they often amend this by adding protection to the servers, and trust me, this is not the first time this has happened.
Like a lot of things happening on this platform recently, I am yet again disappointed by the way the site is being run. These DDoS attacks can be on much larger scales than this, and we seem to have no way of stopping the attackers.
This is another example of why Roblox need to step up their game and start actually looking after their company. Since I started four years ago, things have been getting worse, and this looks to be the worst year yet. I can see the company failing in coming years and losing popularity faster than ever.
I am only posting this for the benefit of Roblox's staff, so they can act upon this and do something right, which is long overdue.
