To learn from a ROBLOX Scripting tutorial, you need only not watch it, experiment with the knowledge you've just witnessed. If you don't know what you're doing, rewatch the tutorial thoroughly.
If you still don't understand what's going on, you can come back and ask questions.

| They store information, like tab = {'string', 'another', boolF = false, ['boolT'] = false} to get the first two parts you would use something like tab[Number] to get the others you would do either tab . boolF or tab['boolT'] |
