So, basically, whenever I negate an object and put them in a union, it works as it should with the looks and such. However, when I play the game and go to the area that the negated part was, strange collision things occur. On the edges of the hole in where it was negated, strange slopes and walls appear on the walls of the part. This is really annoying and I don't know I its something I can fix or a worldwide bug. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me what's going on.
kthx

| If unions are too big (size not triangles) then roblox messes up and you can go through some things, a quick fix could be placing invisible blocks on the spots where you can go through. |

| Hmm.. That kinda sucks. I was trying to make it so that you were SUPPOSED to walk through that area. So I'm guessing I have to do it manually with using multiple blocks? |

| Actually, nvm. What I was saying is that when I wanted to walk through them, the areas make slope things I cant walk through. |

| I guess can-collide the block before making it negated |

| I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I tried as much options as I can and they did not work. I'm linking a world that will show you whats going on. |

I don't know, probably a bug.
If that model is what you're making, just make it from scratch. |

Go to your Studio File tab. Click on Settings. Click on Physics. Check the ShowDecompositionGeometry box. Go to Test game and the actual shape of the Union will appear as a bunch of triangles. Uncheck the ShowDecompositionGeometry box if you want to see the Union as the shape you made.
Basically if you are negating a smaller percentage out of a larger Part or Union you can't rely on it acting exactly like it appears. It's just the way ROBLOX physics works... |

The unfortunate reality of Roblox is that it is a video game, fortunately there almost always ways to combat the reality by creating a new one.
Despite the efficiency performance-wise for everyone's computer, sometimes you will just have to use those extra part. But I suggest unioning 3 parts to make a door frame rather than unioning 1 part with a negative part for a door frame. The memory and VRAM your computer will have to render will be minisculey increased but for realism it will just have to be this way, because of the omnipresent reality of flawed Roblox physics.

| Well, thanks anyways. I've noticed this happens with unions too and not just negated parts. I'm guessing roblox tries to connect the parts in a different way and just ends up with ##################### ####### Thanks for your help, but the main reason I chose to negate parts is that it just saved up a lot of time (and it was possible to make indents in spheres). kthxbai |
