I want something to happen when a player presses a certain key, but not while they're chatting. Is there a good way to check if the player is currently chatting?

if your using UserInputService, the 2nd argument of the InputBegan event is processed, if true then the player is chatting
game:GetService('UserInputService').InputBegan:connect(function(input,p) if p then return end
