"I can't use this mouse = Player:GetMouse()" Then you're doing it wrong. Take input from a LocalScript, handle input in a LocalScript. No exceptions, you don't want input latency.

Actually, it is InputBegan, not InputBegin.

@OP Without giving us a full script, and failing to say if there's a bigger script, we can't give a definitive answer.
What I think is that you only got the position, but did nothing with it, and didn't set anything up for when the mouse hovers. |

Make sure it's a localscript, GetMouse() can only be client-sided
If you need the server to have the mouse position, fire it in a remote event
