json is old messagepack is the future, just take a look at this efficiency input data used was a table of fractions that yielded repeating decimal representations
-- output Finished in 7.2956085205078e-05 seconds Len in bytes of packed MessagePack data: 28 Len in bytes of JSON-encoded data: 99
that's nearly a 70% reduction in storage used grab the port to modulescripts here https://www.roblox.com/library/947790292/aa |

sorry that i didn't really explain a lot of this before.
json is an encoding which is short for Javascript Object Notation; it's what datastores use by default to store tables. however, messagepack makes storage of these objects that would usually be represented by JSON much more compact, yielding more storage space.
for example, it stores whole numbers up to 2^8-1 as one single character, 2^16-1 as 2, 2^32-1 as 4 and so on. it also stores floating point numbers not as decimal representations but in raw binary format itself
it's based on the messagepack spec and it was ported to lua by jferrad. |

> json is old from Wikipedia:
"JSON is a language-independent data format. It was derived from JavaScript, but as of 2017 many programming languages include code to generate and parse JSON-format data. The official Internet media type for JSON is application/json. JSON filenames use the extension .json."

| JSON's economic value pales in comparison to MessagePack, really. That's what I should've said. |

| @Pxk Well, a sense of incompetence was radiating due to the fact that you posted "Speak RBX.Lua", so, I mean I think it's fair to assume you didn't know the fact. No need be sarcastic. |
