Please explain how this is "More organised" than what we had. Its like mixing overwatch with tf2. 2 communities are mixed, no place to post off topic, q=what all else. also, if you ban me for this post i want a through explanation on what I did wrong.

To follow your analogy, it's more like a TF2 forum having subforums for TF2, Overwatch, and Battleborn deciding it's easier to just have a forum for TF2. Strictly from a practicality perspective, the update seems to be helping, even with today's increased traffic.

| The key intention behind the forum merger was making sure we used our moderation resources as effectively as possible. Imagine you're on an assembly line. Is it easier to keep up with one quite fast conveyor belt, or three slower conveyor belts that move at irregular speeds in different rooms? |

Not really. I'd compare it more to a TF2 forum having a non-specific forum. If it were a subforum about another game, I suppose that analogy could be used, but the other forums had no specific purpose and thus they appeal to the broadest demographic. By eliminating that forum, you limit the creative potential of the forums.

I'd say the three slower conveyor belts. The belts are slower and thus it's easier to notice a rule-breaking post. Even if you pool a bunch of guys on one conveyor belt, you still see things get past it because it's fast. Filterpassing threads were up for hours yesterday.

"Helping with what?"
I second this question. Maybe it helps with more efficient moderation, but it doesn't really make anyone happy. I fail to understand why removing S&I helps the community at all. I almost see it as an admission of the fact that Roblox wasn't even listening to the community in the first place. The update makes your job easier and it probably even helps the company's public image, but it has made a very small portion, if any of your existing user-base happy. Wouldn't merging most (if not all) of the removed subforums into a big General Discussion subforum accomplish the same thing? That way you have your six Roblox-related subforums (RN7D, Help, C7G, LMaD, GD, and Scripters) and one General Discussion subforum. That's still a huge step down from the original amount of subforums, and it still accomplishes the goal of the update, which from my understanding was to make the moderation job easier.

If you're concerned about the removal of S&I, I can chime in on that. You're perfectly free to post Roblox suggestions in this subforum. It's just not helpful to have a separate space for it that serves as an opportunity target for malicious spammers, scammers, and assorted scum.
To be perfectly honest, our experience in moderation was that most people posted their suggestions in whatever forum they used most often. I think I've moved more threads to S&I than any other board in my time here. |

S&I was still very active.
I posted on there many times, and checked in regularly to see what the community was suggesting for the platform.

That is something I will actually sort of agree with. I can't say I saw too many S&I-type posts on OT, but my experience was pretty limited to just OT anyway. I could definitely see ATR being filled with posts that really belonged in S&I. A lot of the suggestions in S&I were just joke posts, repeated suggestions, or just suggestions that weren't allowed anyway. Thank you for actually taking the time to answer peoples' questions! It's good to have at least a little bit of transparency and to see how the update affects the very people it was intended to serve.

I like you baron but The admins removed communities that people have been a part of for years, just to make it easier to moderate.

I personally still think S&I is EXTREMELY necessary and so is a General Discussions board.

| Of course, I can't ask anyone to like the change. But I think it's important to clarify that as a moderation measure, it *does* help. |
