The only people who feel the need to shark are those who can't trade properly so they have to resort to lying.
This is what this is. |

Sharking is not a thing anymore and should not even exist as a term since everyone has their own values and there is not a set-in-stone value system.
Values are dynamic and subjective therefore having your own values is not scamming.

| Well, if someone tells you that a McDonald's Happy meal toy cost 10,000 dollars, then they're trying to scam you. |

A happy meal is a different situation where there is a set value for it, and If you're stupid enough to believe it then it's your fault.
Don't believe every value you hear and go by your own values since everyone values things differently, it's how you profit.

Exactly, how do you think people profit?
Every item has a bias. Owners value their items higher and value the other party's as lower to make profit.

Google definition: "a dishonest scheme; a fraud."
No, sharking is still not scamming.
You can be honest and true to the value that you value your items at so it isn't a dishonest scheme nor is it a fraud since you are the creator of your own value.

sharking is when its a large amount higher bias is when its higher then it should be
saying valk is 70k is bias saying valk is 90k is sharking and is pretty much scamming
just because the value of something can change that doesnt mean that it has no set value it has a current value
if you are putting it way higher then it should be in an attempt to get someone elses items for a big win you are scamming them
please dont try to sound smart because it is scamming

| LOL and where does the "current value" come from then? It's all a community construct which is dynamic and constantly fluctuating. So basically if I say that my Crescendo is 430k that's sharking when the rest of the community values it at 330k? Hell no lol and that's a fairly significant amount higher. I got sent 450k for my crescendo because that's the value I'd get rid of it for and I did and I would consider it a big win as well. I didn't have any scamming intentions and the other guy just really wanted it. It's all bias, there is no such thing as "sharking." I'm not trying to sound smart lol what haha, I'm just obliterating this debate for ######### ################# ################ to understand that sharking does not equal scamming. https://www.roblox.com/Trade/TradeWindow.aspx?TradePartnerID=52876380 |

Sharking is a form of negotiation used in the real world. so no its not a scam, you're giving your opinion on the value if you don't agree with it then don't trade with the person ;-; simple as that.

Or you can just say that sharking doesn't exist and that's quite simple.

there could be some mentally unstable person who thinks the value of something is way higher then it is and they try to trade it
that technically isnt sharking and that is what you are going by
but sharking is a conscious overvalue of an item in an attempt to get an unfair win
