i have a question, and i'm not trying to attack anyone i'm just wondering, did you listen to community feedback before doing this? now i understand that this update would anger a lot of people regardless but surely there was a better way to execute this |

i agree with you but they were aware that we weren't gonna be happy all they said was "you guys complain about every single change we make" and that's not even true

The only reason we complain is that they just do it without asking the community. The only time they really listened was with the color update, as we now have advanced options.

In a company, a single staff member doesn't just make a decision and act on it. They have board meetings for this kind of stuff.
You're likely looking at a whole team who decided on this.

it most likely was a team of web developers
but evidently they were very out of touch with the people that the change affects
the forums are a small sub-community of active roblox users and their goal of a roblox-only forum is only possible if every active forum user quits

it would be nice if roblox had a survey that users could vote on about future changes on roblox

"you will get used to it"
we would if they didn't delete every thread that wasn't "the forum update isn't bad"
anything that can vaguely be considered off topic is deleted no matter how innocent
anything that is perfectly on topic but unsupportive of the update is deleted as well
it's blind to assume that the forum community will get used to something that completely removes the forum community |

@xBBLox, I didn't mean it like that. But as I said before, since the forums haven't been changed in years we expected feedback to be negative since there were communities in those forums.
We understand that removing those forums would disturb and upset the communities but as Roblox evolves things will get changed.
We did alert all users about this update 7 days before this change happened so people could save old threads. The notification also explains as to why we made this change.

| Completely disregard what I said previously, it wasn't worded properly and everyone is taking it out of context as to what I was trying to say. |

" since the forums haven't been changed in years"
MTVB and MT were merged into PC less than a year ago.
"We did alert all users about this update 7 days before this change happened so people could save old threads."
I had five years worth of stuff to look through and save on dozens of threads that sometimes had up to a hundred pages of replies (where the whole thread, not just a few posts, were worth saving). I managed to save about 30,000 words by copy-pasting the OPs onto a private site run by myself but there is a lot of storyline stuff that was lost in the forum "update". |

the context is still there with inception's quote about people complaining
somebody managed to get full page screenshots of every page of the thread that it originated in but i won't post it because that would be an offsite link |

it's worth pointing out that "the forums haven't been changed in years" is very untrue
it hasn't been years since the revival and re-deletion of the global chat subforum
it hasn't been years since scripting helpers, building helpers, and etc were merged into game design
it hasn't been years since "Forum Games" was deleted
it hasn't been years since "Game Marketing" was both created and deleted
it is true that there hasn't been any change that overhauls what people are allowed to talk about but that's part of the reason why the forum community is so opposed to the change

There was a thread lurking about the front page of S&I for the entire week before the update with ALOT of replies, there was at least 20. Roblox doesn't listen to the community, they just want to please the media. They want to attract small, dumb children onto the site. Then when one single thing goes wrong, a parent flips. Then Roblox has to implement stupid updates, upsetting the community. Roblox needs to listen to the majority and not the loudest voices.
