Dear ROBLOX,
After what I have witnessed here today, there is only one statement that truly conveys my feelings toward these events: disappointment. Disappointment that a site I have played on for over 10 years is forcing me to type this thread on an alt for fear of being banned due to sharing my opinion and providing constructive criticism. Disappointment that friendships have been terminated and history erased. Disappointment that the voices of many ROBLOXians--who have provided not only time, but money toward a site they truly loved--have been silenced. Disappointment that entire communities who have shared their highs and lows and theirs successes and obstacles have been destroyed.
Disappointment.
While I harbor no ill will toward any ROBLOX executives at the corporate level nor any moderators who are simply enforcing the decision of their superiors, I do sadly admit that I am disappointed in ROBLOX's decision to remove several sub-forums that have served as players' homes and endured for over 10 years. Despite players' voicing their dismay over this major change to the forums, ROBLOX chose to go through with its update, all the while producing weak arguments as to why their decision benefited the ROBLOX community.
Disappointment.
For many years now, the ROBLOX forums have fostered the spirit of creating new friendships, maintaining connections, and rekindling old friendships. The many different sub-forums allowed players to connect with one another on numerous subjects and create deep, enduring, and rich friendships. ROBLOX's forums did that. However, ROBLOX cites that they chose to overwrite these friendships for the sake of keeping the conversation about ROBLOX. What ROBLOX executives failed to see was that these conversations would often be about ROBLOX. Whether it was the Ro-Sports Forum hosting ROBLOX sports leagues, or the Role Play Forum hosting a role playing session in a ROBLOX game, these forums truly representation the company's logo: Powering Imagination.
Disappointment.
Now, as ROBLOX has decidedly turned the page and chosen to continue with an update that the community has rallied against, I cannot help but connect these events with events that are occurring in the world. In the real world, people willingly choose to ignore the voices of their fellow peers, displaying that their opinion trumps others. From politics, to pop culture, to everyday life, comprise has been replaced by ignorance as people refuse to simply listen to the opinions and feelings of others. Sadly this is reflected in ROBLOX's decision to remove several sub-forums.
Yet, there is hope.
Now, as we stand here today at a crossroads of whether we proceed with this update or revert it, I ask not only to ROBLOX executives, but the community to listen to one another. Withhold judgement and listen. Compromise. Because if we all work together, we can make ROBLOX a great site for all ages that's full of vibrant communities who connect with one another about a variety of topics--in the OT, SF, ATR, RT forums, etc--and connect with one another over our love for ROBLOX.
Respectfully, RatchetChefCurry |

Have you've forgotten that Roblox doesn't take criticism?

Sadly, @deadkickman, there is no other forum that I can convey this as the S&I forum has been deleted. However, I'd like to remind you that this forum post is on topic as it pertains to ROBLOX.
Thank you.

Well-written explanation as to why this situation is an issue. Even as someone who rarely uses the forums, I support this post.

| Thanks, @ChipioIndustries, @forgen24! I appreciate it. I just wanted to convey what we are all feeling respectfully as well as provide insight into ROBLOX's reasoning behind the update. I feel like if we all came together, we would be able to find a compromise in which both parties are happy and contribute to a successful ROBLOX platform. |

I guess I don't blame them, it costs money to keep the forums up, and hiring people to 'watch' over them, and some of them were inactive.
But with that said, OT, RT, and ATR shouldn't been deleted.
