Hello, I am a fairly decent scripter. I am looking for a strong development team for my game "The World of Zadia."
Let me explain the basics of the game.
When your first play, you will be prompted with a screen with a list of dates. You choose the on###o####i########a#####nder which determines your Zodiac sign. Each Zodiac sign will have 3 classes.
The Melee Class, for up close combat. Weapons for this class include swords and various claws.
The Range Class, for far away combat. Weapons for this class include staves and energy blasters.
The Summoner Class, for support combat. Things for this class include things such as summoning something that is related to your Zodiac. For example, if you are a Cancer, you will summon a crab.
You will not be able to change this class unless you do a complete data wipe.
Next, the point of the game.
There will an SAO feel to the game. There will be mobs and bosses you have to defeat. Bosses will be located in areas called "Dungeons."
The Dungeons will be named after the Zodiacs. So the Cancer Dungeon will have a crab boss of some sort inside of it.
Beat the boss you get an item, you can sell the item for a lot of gold OR save it and get every item the boss drops and keep them to face the final boss and essentially beat the game.
The training system will be simple. There will be Strength, Agility, and Zodiac Skill. Strength is trained by combat and the higher your strength the more damage you do. Agility is trained by running and dodging. The higher your agility, the faster you will be. Zodiac Skill is trained by using your Zodiac abilities. The higher your Zodiac skill, the more skills you can unlock.
That's the basics and things are always subject to change. For now I need a dev team that consist of:
Scripters (Need to be able to script in FE! Most important thing or we can't make real money!) Builders (Weapon and Map Builders) Animators Clothing Designers
About PAY: There will be game passes, revenue will be split between the development team. If we make a GOOD game, the ROBUX will flow in and that means I can pay out more.

| If there is a strong development team then it's guaranteed success. I also work, so paying them is going to come regardless I'd just prefer if it wasn't out of my check. |

| If you want that business model to be successful first you need some like 50k robux or hats to be able to fall back on just in case your game fails *highly likely* and you'll need ads |

In my opinion, starting off as an entire developer team isn't as wise as you think it is. If you haven't worked on games previously, you're going to have to start small somewhere, maybe a partner or so. You'll add slowly and continue to add in terms of what you want:
Do I want good builders and semi-proficient builders to increase the speed of smaller tasks such as terrain and good builders for detailed objects and maps?
The same would go for programmers/scripters. You're doing this on your own money, which I suppose can be okay if you were recruiting people you actually knew. A strong developer team is seriously hard to come across by, and recruiting through the forums will not be that easy either. I took a look at what your offering and to waste my skills and effort seems it's a 50/50 chance of it being an entire risk and bust that this game will not take off.
In short, you'll need income from somewhere. For example, I am able to pay my developer team through builds I make here and there for other more successful game owners as a freelancer, allowing my own studio to grow and develop more on our own high-quality aimed games. |

| Adding to this to your own skills, "fairly decent" is not going to cut it either if you want a "STRONG DEV TEAM". You're going to have to be as skilled as what you're looking for, not just a gatherer of manager of a team. |

Yeah, the current dev team I have consist of 3 friends and 1 guy I got from here. There is a risk, but I do have a solid semi-fanbase that will pay and play my game either way as does the 2nd scripter for the game (the one that's not me)
It's a gamble yes, but I'm trying to have a positive outlook and I'm going to invest in the idea :) |
