Note: This project was planned WAY before "the floor is lava" trend. We never got to make it because we were too busy with school.
Hey guys, I just wanted to say that I'm starting this project as a test to see how good our development skills are.
The project will be done in 1 month and a 1 week from 7/31/2017.
The basis of the game is that you have multiple maps with different game modes to select from. You have a certain amount of lives and if you fail that map, you have to restart. If you survive, you get coins.
You can spend your coins in the shop for items. These items can be anything. Shirts, pants, accessories of all types, powerups, boosts, etc.
There are even limited edition items that can only be purchased with robux or special currency, or with coins for a limited amount of time.
I will be posting here on this forum every day until the launch of this game.
I don't really care if you bash on it or not, because your opinion doesn't determine the success of our game.
Also, I might not post a new thread every day, I might sometimes just bump an old one.

If you guys had read the title, it's a project launch, not a release (that means it's not done).
The game is single player because the game is going to be a universe. The player can visit the shop, and inventory in the main game. If he wants to play a map/game mode, he has to go to the "Play" section and select a map and pend for the server if it's a game mode that requires a static amount of players. Otherwise, if it's just an obstacle course, then the player will be teleport-ed instantly.
If the player fails, he can revive himself for Robux, restart from the beginning or teleport back to the main screen (which is the main place).
If he wins, he gets a certain amount of coins, and has the option to redo it or go to the main screen.

(7/28/2017) The planning for the game has been done. This includes the project goals, marketing plan, mvp, project rules, etc.

(8/1/2017) Got a lot of things done yesterday. The data system is all setup and now if you join the game, you'll already have a data set up. Local scripts can now read the player's data whenever they want, and I also added a security feature that's impossible to beat.
Also improved the loading screen so it waits for data to load and can now accept module scripts with asset IDs instead of just searching through objects.
Also set up the item storage system and you should be able to select a character, spawn it in and look at all the UI within the next couple days.

(8/2/2017) Have to figure out how to make a GUI scale with a SizeConstraint property the way I want to without spending an hour thinking about it and figuring it out.
Shop's design will be made. There will be 8 categories and subcategories within some of those categories.
Categories: Accessories - Hats, Hair, Face, Neck, Shoulder, Front, Back, Waist Body - Heads, Packages, Faces Shirts Pants Powerups Upgrades Currency - Coins, Diamonds
Shop items will be personally made/chosen by us or friends of ours. We need a clean design because there is so many categories.

(8/3/2017) The estimated project finish time has been increased by another month and 2 weeks. This is due to my decision to dismiss the builders in my project. This is my own choice and I have my private reasons. I have thought it over and it will be better in the end. I am also building an "outdoor mall" for someone else and I will need to figure out how long that will take so I can post an update here and update everything. I'm not delaying everything because things are going bad, they already were and I'm trying to fix it.
