| If more games I play worked with Gnu/Linux, I would have switched ages ago. |

But this is one of the major issues I face. I play on Legacy World of Warcraft servers. That means I use clients from before they made a Linux version (If they ever did, Gave up during Panda Land.). I don't want to have to leave behind an LV 40 something just because I want a lower chance of getting viruses. |

They never did, but AFAIK Warcraft works great on W Is Not An Emulator, but it just feels like a tacky Windows port when you run it.

When it comes to emulation, Linux is dang good. Most emulators worth their salt have support for Linux. CEMU is planning on open sourcing and porting it to Linux once they have made enough progress.

"linux is for neckbeards and fedora-wearers" Or you know, For people who don't want restriction via licenses and agreements and want to make their OS the way they want it. Or maybe it's the whole "Not getting spied on" thing like modern Windows does.
I tried Mint with a VM once years ago, And I liked how everything looked and how easy it was to get various things with the package manager or whatever it was called. Also, If I knew ANYTHING about coding it would be one step easier to modify every little thing. |

Linux has a good UI And performs quite well, it's just the fact that little to no games support it is the reason why most people won't switch from Windows.

Visual Studio is actually a really bad IDE. Well, all IDEs are awful (especially you Anjuta).
You really should be using vim or (if you feel edgy) emacs or the graphical variants thereof.
I personally don't like editing with the terminal, so I use gedit, but no matter what, Visual Studio is just awful.
It's menu layout is terrible, it's options are terrible, IT'S CLOSED SOURCE (I don't have a problem with proprietary, I have a problem with closed source. You can be one and not the other like Unreal Engine, which is proprietary but open source.), Microsoft's C compiler is just a reject C++ compiler (and at that too, MSVC++ isn't fully compliant to the ISO standard ANYWAY), and MS' proprietary version of Make it just awful in general.
i'd rather use that glorified Java text editor Eclipse

You can easily nuke your LINUX install with only this deadly command:
sudo rm -rf /
or even worse... the dreaded fork bomb:
perl -e "fork while fork"

@Addict
You know, I can also use that command from Linux to nuke a Windows Partition too. We have NTFS drivers like ntfs-3g, paragon ntfs etc.
Also, the second one does not exactly destroy your install, it just brings the system to a halt and ultimately makes it crash as more and more processes come into existence.
