| On the wiki I just saw :connect has a line through it implying that it shouldn't be used (I think), this same thing is for the Wait() and wait() script signals too. There really doesn't seem to be a difference, so why does roblox neglect one over the other? |

RbxScriptSignal.connect is deprecated in favor of Connect (they're trying to stay consistent with their naming convention).
To be fair, you could probably get away using connect instead of Connect for at least half a decade but may as well conform. |

| I always to :connect and now this crap Wait() instead of wait() and :Connect() instead of connect() what kind of witchcraft is this? |

"ROBLOX is trying to make methods PascalCase, so they changed ":connect" and :disconnect" to syntactically be ":Connect" and ":Disconnect" respectively. There's no difference in how they behave, and with most ROBLOX updates in syntax, it's backwards compatible.
:Wait is an method of an event/listener/RBXScriptSignal. It waits until the event is fired. wait() is a function that simply yields the script for an input duration of time ."
