| Archaeology is cool. However, Geology is well... you can work with the land, dirt and rocks more than you can with archaeology. Your decision to make. |

FYI geology is the useful one because it can lead to careers in oil and gas
I plan on staying in academia hopefully but it'd be nice to have a backup plan given that's a high ambition
With archaeology there isn't really a safety net so if I couldn't do postgrad theses and so on I'd probably end up working for English Heritage or something pretty mediocre |

| If I did geology I'd likely specialise in Palaeontology later on and move into that field of study |

| I love archaeology and I plan to include that into my career someday but it's hard to find a job in that course I've heard |

| Hmm, that's a tough choice. Could you double major in geology/archaeology and get a feel for the fields and what research is like in those fields? That might give you a better idea of which one you'd like to pursue, especially if you plan on graduate school. |

you know what you should study?
Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits.
When all the cards are down, all hope lost, all self-dignity robbed barren and not a cent left to pay for one sqyuare foot of rent you, the Poseidon of Fast Food Poultry, emerge from the deep-fried depths of the hot sauce ocean atop a five dollar hydra of drumsticks and batter to rescue those who cannot rescue themselves.
Self-loathing thy name is Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits. |
