| Okay don't get me wrong, they DO. But it's not 100% of the time. The bots use proxies to avoid the captcha, therefore it's only affecting legitimate users. |

| People are legit making bots that spam friend requests now. This is getting out of hand. |

I recall hearing a dev saying they didn't want to inconvenience the end user, but currently that's all it does. |

I think they said something about the bot creators outsourcing captchas to third world countries or something but that doesn't really sound plausible for someone to do on roblox of all places. In my current frustration with this little kid's game I'd say it's just because they're Powering Their Wallets (TM) instead of releasing actually good updates that the community won't explode over. Look at literally any other game and their updates are something that the community supports, but with ROBLOX nearly EVERY SINGLE UPDATE has the community in flames. |

'small mistake'
It's blatantly obvious that I am referring to the ROBLOX site developers in my title. A ROBLOX *GAME* developer has nothing to do with the site at all and therefore would not be able to add a captcha to sign up.
Why is this hard to understand? |

@Spectral
The bots use proxies. If the script detects a captcha it ignores it and retries with a different proxy.
That's how they work, the ROBLOX site developers probably know this. |

de·vel·op·er
dəˈveləpər/Submit
noun
a person or thing that develops something.
a ROBLOX developer would be someone who works on the site or client. But the other meaning would be a ROBLOX game developer who works on places, models, projects, etc and is not affiliated with the site, the staff, or Its development.
This is not a hard concept. |

Maybe you should stop using semicolons wrong to look smart.
@raq
"and captcha isn't a good way to stop this."
did you even read the thread? They USE captchas, but not 100% of the time. 99% of the time I will run into a captcha upon account creation. Bots however ignore it and retry (using proxies) until they don't have a captcha.
This only affects legitimate users and does not stop bots at all. |

ROBLOX really needs a feature where you can block people who are providing unconstructive garbage to a thread.
but thanks for the free bumps. |

bots can easily bypass captchas, nor captchas can make a lot of new people that could not join because they wouldn't solve a captcha, means less new players. and people who fixes bugs and adds stuff from the website are usually the member of Roblox Staff. was just correcting that, why the hate?
