the one with ugly god and playboycarty... that was so bad that it was just funny. their lyrics could be thought by a 5 year old, after every sentence they would say "ayy". what did you think about it

"carti came on real strong" his flow i give a 5/10... lyrically he was trash... making the most simple rhymes, no wordplay whatsoever, no punchlines, just being a fool. ugly god alright you say? he's trash, no good lyrics at all, bad flow, he's a trash rapper and he even admitted he's trash. i suggest listening to real rap if you actually think this is good.

"have you heard his music? what do you expect? lmfao" Ok? if they don't have good lyrics the they aren't good rappers, period. No one wants to hear someone saying "all my #### ################# ######## "ugly god also isn't a lyricist, but i said he was ok because he was going off the dome" you don't have to be a lyricist to have decent lyrics, 2Pac for example, but when you're not even trying at all to make normal lyrics you're trash, but if he's doing it off the top of the dome then sure it's alright "ugh" go listen to your unlyrical garbage rappers, i'll just go back to listening to Wutang Greatness

typically trap isn't about meaningful lyrics, it's catchy pop that hypes people up

"if they don't have good lyrics the they aren't good rappers, period." that's completely subjective, you can be really lyrical but have awful flow and an unoriginal style - that makes you a bad rapper in my eyes
"No one wants to hear someone saying "all my #### ################# ########" whatever that was supposed to be i'm going to assume it was a dig at a somewhat mainstream rapper, in which case, clearly people DO want to hear it because they're making money off of it and have plenty of fans, hence the term 'mainstream'
"go listen to your unlyrical garbage rappers, i'll just go back to listening to Wutang Greatness" i went thru the same phase as you a few years back, i know how u feel lol
different rap music has different purposes, trap music and drill music and all this stuff you're claiming to be "unlyrical garbage" doesn't aim to be insanely lyrical, so stop critiquing it based on such
hiphop isn't dead, it's more successful than ever, it's going through changes, that's all even still, you've got rappers like kendrick who are still charting as well as upholding your ideal of a "lyrical rapper"
stop complaining that trap isn't lyrical when it's not supposed to be get on and listen to #### ### stuff and leave us to listen to the stuff we enjoy in peace, it's cool, i don't care, do you |

I'm not saying you have to be lyrical, I said you have to have good lyrics. 2Pac isn't that much lyrical most of the time, yet his lyrics are still good. IF a rapper doesn't have good lyrics, he isn't a good rapper, period point blank. And no people actually don't want to hear it, they only listen to it for the beat, no one actually cares about the lyircs in this disgusting era of music. Kendrick might be lyrical, but he's nowhere NEAR as good as Nas, Rakim, Kool G, GZA, etc. I'm not just complaining about trap, i'm saying most of rap this generation have trash lyrics. You probably don't know much about Hip Hop, betting that you only listen to it for the beat.

you don't "have to have good lyrics" at all lol that's your preference "Kendrick might be lyrical, but he's nowhere NEAR as good as Nas, Rakim, Kool G, #### ######## was an example, there are still plenty of modern rappers out there who have much more to offer in terms of lyrical content than those you listed "You probably don't know much about Hip Hop, betting that you only listen to it for the beat." if i was listening to it only for the beat i'd have a playlist full of instrumentals i know as much as i need to about hiphop, you don't have to have a degree in hiphop history to be a legitimate fan, stop it, you sound corny "no one actually cares about the lyircs in this disgusting era of music." stop it, you sound corny

@xabi this is how I know you're ignorant at rap. Rakim and Nas are known as one of the greatest lyricists of all time, and you have the nerve to say plenty of modern rappers are more lyrical? yeah you're probably 16

go back and read what i said then come back, bud
trap is about the beats, not meaningful lyrics. if i wanted better lyricism i'd listen to a different sub-genre from trap. just like i wouldn't listen to punk for virtuosity, i'd go find a jazz artist. pb carti is a good trapper, he has a good flow and the beats are good, and that's what matters in trap. when i want to listen to something more sophisticated i'll listen to shing02, mf doom, death grips, etc.
