| Depends on the model. The newest ones, sure, Roblox will run in 1080p at max settings with playable framerates on the kaby lake integrated graphics. Of course if you go down to a lower end processor performance gets lower, and older mbp's may have issues with roblox depending on what generation you use. |

an i5 dual core doesnt tell me much, plenty of those
Is it the most recent model, the 2013 model, or the 2011 model?
The most recent one will do it just fine. The 2013 and 2011 ones might struggle a bit and you might have to drop some settings down. |

Since you still wont tell me what generation this machine is, im just gonna presume is a 2016/2017 model. Because its a 2560x1600 screen on the 13" model, you wont be able to run it at level 10 graphics on integrated alone. Maybe you can hit level 5 and get a solid 20-30fps, but not much more. If you scale down to 1440x900, a bit less than 1080p, you can easily do the max graphical settings at 60fps.
Personally, i dont advise buying a macbook pro, especially not a low end macbook pro, youre paying way more than what the hardware is actually worth. I mean, a dual core? In 2017? A dual core processor and 8gb of ram costs 1300$? Thats nuts.
1300$ can buy you an ASUS ROG DS74 on newegg right now, with an i7 7700HQ, 6gb GTX 1060, 16gb of ram, a 128gb SSD and one terabyte HDD. Which would literally blow the mbp away on every single level. That would be a "play literally any game at max settings in the native 1080p" kind of machine. |

Even then the 13" i7 option is still only a dual core, and the only difference between it and the i5 is a slightly higher clock speed. If you went with the 15" model you could get an i7 7920HQ, which is a quadcore, but you're paying a nearly 500$ premium for it.
If you are use to the mac environment, and dont want a windows PC, i can understand buying a mac. Some people just like them. As long as youre aware that youre really paying for the brand, macs are not particularly high quality machines, and they cost more than theyre worth.

| I would use a Mac for things like editing and uploading. I fI ever were to game one it, they would be games on Roblox. Not exactly hardcore games to run as a Mac's are not for that type of thing anyways. And I'm getting the laptop because it is more mobile and suits my moving needs as which a desktop can bring more power but what's power if you can't use it when you mostly need it? |
