| I never liked this show and I've yet to find out why it's good. I know I'm in the minority here, if you have the answer to why the show is good let me know. But to me, I found Gumball horribly obnoxious with him being completely ignorant and his voice assaulting my ears. Darwin is much of the same just slightly toned down and without an annoying voice. Richard is a stereotypical dumb father and Anais is very often a stereotypical nerd. The backgrounds are photographs which they took themselves or just stole off the internet. I've never seen a multi-million dollar company be this lazy before. Small events that last about a minute or 2 in a good show are stretched for the entirety of the 11 minutes and get really boring. Most of the time Gumball and Darwin go on random adventures and escape because of luck. This got old in less than half an episode. The episodes are written so poorly with random events happening every minute with absolutely no logic or explanation behind them because the writers aren't competent enough to make these plots work. Whenever they can't think of a solution to the problem Gumball and Darwin get themselves into they do whatever pops into the writers heads. The humor is nothing good either, the jokes are completely hit or miss. Whenever they fail you get a joke they've used tons of times already or they just use dumb pop culture references that are outdated and kids won't get. They're making a Don't Hug Me I'm Scared episode and that channel hasn't uploaded in a year and their most popular video was uploaded 5 years ago! I never got why people like this show, please reply why they do because god knows I can't figure it out. |

Well teens my age, adults and critics like the show so what gives? Even then kids have their standards too. I was a kid and I still thought it was below average in comparison to Adventure Time and Regular Show. But as I got older has really began to bug me.
Everyone else thanks for your suggestions. However I still feel like the problems I mentioned are still consistent minus the dragged on plots, I will have to watch a new episode see what I think. But I tried to judge in the way of a critic by listing any flaws or negative aspects of the show which I did. For a better way to describe how the show is good I recommend a counter argument to why I'm wrong about what I said. Thanks for the suggestions though.
