my definitions
sharking: convincing someone to accept a bad trade deal through any means possible, i.e. faking past completed offers, or telling the person receiving the bad end of the deal that you'll give more than their giving. sharking is easily avoidable if you have a good knowledge of values
bias: claiming your item is worth more than it really is (whether you truly believe it is or not). can usually be backed up by real trades that have been sent out/completed
scamming: taking/stealing someone's money/possessions through a lot of convincing, usually by trying to 'borrow' their item, telling them you're legitimate, or promising a prize if you send your best items for a small (i2g's).
A good demand item cannot be a rare But thats a good doing item |

Scam: offering a deal that both agreed on and not going through after the other person already did
Shark: using whatever tactic necessary to convince someone that your offer is better, even if it may involve scamming
Bias: overvaluing |

| If someone lets someone borrow an item and they run off with the item, they technically did not get scammed they just had their item stolen |

Sharking: Convincing your trading partner to that what you are giving him is a good (better) deal, but in reality he's losing.
Scamming: Not following through-out the deal, mid exit the deal or refusing to give all the items that were promised during the deal.

sharking - purposely/knowingly telling someone inaccurate information regarding an items value or future potential in attempt to get a win or a good deal
bias - overvaluing an item
scamming - any type of malicious act of taking somebody's limiteds. this is not sharking since they have not given consent for you to receive the items in most cases.

| @epicvalue according to my definition of scamming, the 2 idiots that said they would give 170k for voidwrath were scamming in order to shark |

@teoc
In most scams, the victim gives the scammer consent to have his item , and vice versa |

someone borrowing your item and running off with it is scamming according to your definition then you gave consent to letting them use your item a bit, and in return... they'd return the item. however, they didn't return the item.

also @some of the bias defintions ik my chronold is only worth 350-375 at best, yet i wouldn't take 400k-415k on it not overvaluing my item at all, as that's what it's been offered does that make me not bias?

might as well add on to my bias definition, because i didn't do a good job at defining bias: can also mean wanting more than what your item is worth

| it's a method of sharking really, i didn't "run off with any items" but my own he still has his items, i took nothing from him, and good_drank didnt do anything but fake an offer like me that doesn't fall under the category of scamming i define scamming by: a perverse act as to where ################ ################## ##### for the trickery of another, resulting in lost items/objects i.e. ROBLOX items -cough-, money -eurostepping/Julian | https://www.roblox.com/Trade/TradeWindow.aspx?TradePartnerID=21591662 |
