| sometimes someone 'sharking' can just be them using the value they have put together by their current offers, and sharking =/= scamming |

scam 1. a dishonest scheme; a fraud. "an insurance scam" synonyms: fraud, swindle, fraudulent scheme, racket, trick; More
-
fraud noun wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain.
-
misrepresentation noun the action or offence of giving a false or misleading account of the nature of something.

| Scamming and sharking are both simply dishonest methods of earning money... If you scam someone out of 5k, and you shark someone out of 5k you still dishonestly took ## out of the other persons pocket either way. People don't care about sharks that do like 10k or less maybe because usually you're just miss - informed on values at that point, but when you're trying 35k+ then it's a problem. People saying no are either stupid or have scammed via sharking before and try to justify it.

the reason sharking is much harder to ban against is because it's to do with "items values" which are dictated by the community which are based on the trades they go for.
You're actually brain dead if you can't see why it means ROBLOX have an infinitely harder time banning people for this when they concentrate on basic scamming.

here's what i always thought the definitions of sharking and scamming were (in roblox trading) sharking-lying about your item's value to get a better deal, often includes faking offers and/or using the help of friends to get the other person to accept your terrible offer. simply a harsh way of making profit scamming-outright taking someone's items, through 'borrowing', mm'ing and not returning the items, profiting and not returning the items, etc.
